So the Tanqr Watercolor Logo Shirt also I will do this question they are asking is – aside from just being a decent human being, why would you keep carrying the torch for an institution that does so much bad in the world? So, Fables. The Bible is a book of a fables, kind of a compendium started by the philosopher Jesus. Kind of taking after Aesop. Makes sense, I agree, the Bible has some wacky stuff that is outdated but also a lot of excellent morals. My one followup question is this: if nothing in the bible is to be taken literally, what shred of evidence is left that Christianity is real? If all of the bible is metaphorical, then that leaves no reason, no basis to believe in Jesus. I was raised Catholic went through all the fun catholic things like weekly mass, religious ed, Altar serving and Bible study.

So yeah you get dunked on cause you profess a belief that is ridiculous to an outsider not really a shocker. And as to the Tanqr Watercolor Logo Shirt also I will do this fundamentalist thing it isn’t surprising everyone gets lumped in as the larger religious community doesn’t denounce them and continues to let them speak. the problem with religion is how hard it is to update, you need to do all sorts of mental gynastic, because the morals of when the religius text were written is way diferent of the morals of today, thats why i think religion is dumb, even if people have good intentions See what the smug religious do not get about annoyed atheists is that every single person saying one thing about what their whole religious order means to them is fully contradicted by the next person. So, ignoring how thoroughly and demonstrably abusive it is to, for example, say “you are inherently a disgusting sinner, worth nothing to no one unless you accept subjugation to me because I’m the only thing that can cleanse you”, there is still literally 0 reason what so ever why your simplistic little morality stories have to be a whole religious order.
