It’s the Tampa Bay Rays Buccaneer and Lightning Hand Pulling American Flag Shirt and by the same token and way human brain works. If you hire someone at a high salary, they ill be valued. They are expensive, therefore we must treat that one well. SOmeone who gets araise will always be grinding our gears; the person gets more, when we get the same as before. So, I’d say, demand increased pay at the beginning, or say no thank you. They will value you more if you cost more. The switch of a role makes it reasonable. If they reiterate their argument, you can say that you are willing to step down if they don’t like what they get. And that for you, it will take a lot more from you, and hence, you want more pay. Yeah I’d be asking that promise of higher pay and title in writing, then see if they’re still singing the same tune. If they refuse you know they never intended to bump your title or pay Oh no I would decline and say “I will take up these duties with the raise or decline the duties. I have grown and now it’s time to pay up.”

Get the Tampa Bay Rays Buccaneer and Lightning Hand Pulling American Flag Shirt and by the same token and numbers in writing. They don’t have to pay you now but get them to agree to specific things in writing. Like “once I accomplish A, B, and C you will raise my pay to $X and then as I grow and accomplish D, I’ll get another bump to $Y”. “If I am in this new team lead role for 6 weeks and am doing as or better than expected, my pay should rise x% to match the role.” It’s a Trap 🪤!!! Decline the position… they got plenty of money to pay for that role!! And should compensate you or any other person with the same salary!!! Good luck 👍🏿 This is bait. They eliminated a DIRECTOR position and expect you to step in but with no title or raise until a magical moment when they change their mind?
