My father only ever saw me as a hood ornament. Something to just have and tick a box. It terrified me that i would treat my child like that. Terrible genetics, unlike other people I don’t think it’s okay to force health problems onto your kids. Plenty of kids need adopting. I was also told my health problems would get worse with pregnancy. Also my family is bat shit crazy, my brother and niece are mentally unhinged, my parents always fought. Completely turned me off to a family. I miss the ignorance of being a child. I had trauma and depression. After 30, and, my husband and I married in late 30s, with not much money, and, I didn’t want to start having children that late, anyway. I do anything I want. I don’t want children for the corporations to use and abuse, make them millions and give very little compensation

But to be honest, whenever someone asks me the taco bell would be boring without me Grinch shirt in other words I will buy this question “when will you have kids” it sounds about as logical and realistic as “when will you become an F1 driver?” It has nothing to do with my financial or social situation, or even with my attitude to children. My brother has little kids, and I ADORE them! I don’t have the stamina to take care of them 24/7, but I play with them and try to be there for them. But still, my parental instinct is not triggered. I have plenty of logical reasons to not have kids from every day practical stuff to it being bad for the enviroment, but ultimately, I just FEEL it is not for me, and it doesn’t make sense to me. And I will not apologize for my vagueness. I didn’t want kids, but I was of the mindset that if I got pregnant, then I’d be the best mom that I could. A few years ago, the possibility was completely removed due to a precancerous situation being discovered. Never having to worry about being on birth control to regulate cycles or needing to carry around emergency feminine supplies has been a godsend. Now, I focus on being the fun aunt to my nephew and my friends’ kids… less stress, more fun… win/win.
