If everyone in your country looks like you, you tend to prefer better choices in policy, like rehabilitation over punishment. We make a lot of praise of Europe but that’s only because they have higher homogeneity. I paid $425 (out of a monthly cheque of $610) once for a room like this. Difference being I was free (as one can be on $610 a month) and my place had bedbugs. My personal opinion is that every society deserves their own form of prison (except Gulags of course, we are talking about normal regimes). There is nothing to rehabilitate in Slivko but a lot of justice to be delivered. Edit: it sounded like Norway doesn’t have their maniacs. Probably that’s an error in my opinion, but I hope they don’t keep their slivkos in a room like that. Anyone who has a hope in rehabilitation of ted bunnies, chicatilos is either a hopeless naive or a fool.
