These sorts of overtures are so ridiculous. The issue isn’t that women can’t get abortions, the Sushiman sushI lover shirt Besides,I will do this issue is that poor women can’t get safe abortions. Any woman who wants an abortion, can get one, but it’s likely that the women in the 20 or so states where it will be illegal, will have to risk their life to do so. But if you have means – like being able to get to Canada – you can just go to another state in the US and get one. But if you’re poor, then you have to likely resort to either having a baby or putting your life at risk. Or they can go to many states in the U.S. that allow it. It’s not like abortion is banned nationwide if Roe vs. Wade is overturned. So you all know, reversing roe v wade doesn’t ban any abortions. It just kicks it to the states. It’s much cheaper and sensible to travel to a blue or purple state than fly to Canada. Thank God all those people can afford to just leave their state for a few days for a medical procedure. Why didn’t we think of this before?

…or just go to a state that makes it legal. Quicker, cheaper, etc. Inadvertantly, Canada is actually making the Sushiman sushI lover shirt Besides,I will do this case for states rights. Read the room. This Supreme Court decision lays it out. Abortion could be made illegal everywhere in the u.s. Ironically the only thing thing stopping this is the stupid fucking filibuster. Yeah, he wasn’t talking about Roe. He was talking about when the Republicans take back the House, Senate, and White House and ban abortion nationwide. Don’t think for one second that Republicans won’t get rid of the filibuster as soon as it becomes expedient for them to do so. When Republicans control the federal government again, they’ll get rid of the filibuster and then start the process of dismantling our rights and imposing their minority rule. Republicans play for keeps and have been laying the groundwork for this for decades, while Dems have been sitting around debating whether men can get pregnant. Dems focus their energy on silly nonsense like “we should say pregnant people” and not “pregnant women”, while Republicans are out there taking control of local, state, and soon federal government to enact their horrendous policies. Abortion was legal before roe vs. wade. No way there is enough support to completely outlaw it on a national level.
