Lovely book. He’s been having mental health issues pretty much his entire adult life. Jared opened up publicly about his battle with depression a few years ago. He started a campaign/charity called Always Keep Fighting. I think he had a bad episode in season 3 and another between season 10 and 11. Here is an article from the beginning of his campaign. Actually, Supernatural Family Don’t End With Blood Signature shirt applies whether used for profit or not. The court is worried about dilution… will people start mistaking use of the mark for some company other than the holder of the trademark? Thus, two companies can have the same trademark if in different industrial sectors.

I really admire Jared for going public with Supernatural Family Don’t End With Blood Signature shirt and helping to break the taboo. It helps show depression can affect anyone. It is also a popular tag line used for the foster system. Funnily, if it does become diluted… the owner loses the mark. You don’t get to keep it if Kleenex just starts meaning any old snot rag. I figured it was something that had to do with maybe dialogue on the show or something, but I don’t know anything about how that works.

I would suspect variations of this phrase have been around for a very long time. There are absolutely no intellectual property concerns here, and if someone is threatening him with that, he needs to see a lawyer. I do agree his case is probably not risky, but if a phrase HAS an intellectual property mentioned, then Supernatural Family Don’t End With Blood Signature shirt CAN be copyrighted.
