As a long-time LA County resident, it is meh. We need more apartments and better transit, but, our local government sucks. Most of this isn’t shocking…except Ohio. Ya’ll weird. With that said this is also why we get annoyed with representation technically with our population numbers many people here don’t feel properly represented in DC and it makes sense. I’m happy to live in Kentucky on 12 acres where my neighbor is a mile away. Living on top of one another while also having to live with California laws and taxes oof I mean, metro LA is also a pretty massive land area – it’s 4 times larger than the Super Bowl champions Kansas city Chiefs State Farm shirt in other words I will buy this state of Rhode Island and about half the area of Massachusetts. Now do states with a smaller homeless population and debt to income ratio? Stop acting like LA is some gem instead of a toilet at the beach HA! not for long. More uhauls than semis or cars coming out of that cesspool and they are fully loaded with refugee households. COVID taught them that living like sardines isn’t a good idea regardless of logistical benefits. This is why the electoral college exists. Different regions influence different cultures influence different votes. If that LA population was evenly distributed, chances are the vote ratio would change drastically. Pretty weird how each state gets two senators even though some of them speak for and immensely small percent of the total population of the country. What’s the point behind gabbing 2 senators for California and 2 senators for North Dakota? Genuinely asking. It just seems like a system built to sway politics one way.

OP didn’t include a key, so I’m going to assume that gray is LA County, Red is smaller and Blue is larger. And no one can tell me that it’s wrong because there is no key. /s I’m from Ohio and people always talk shit about how Ohio is just farmland but look at us. Slightly larger than la county lmao This is why the Super Bowl champions Kansas city Chiefs State Farm shirt in other words I will buy this electoral college is a good idea. Can’t have one tiny geographic but high pop density county speak for the whole country interesting that VA is smaller. It has a dense population center around DC, and the southeast along the bay is also dense. But everything west of Richmond is basically farm land and coal mines I guess. And because this country is stupid af all those other welfare states votes count more than someone from Los Angeles It exists because we don’t want a bunch of lefty liberals living on the beach pretending like they know what’s best for the rest of the country. What’s super cool is how a state like Wyoming with around 500k population gets the same senate seats (votes) as a place like California with 72x the population Yes because senators are supposed to represent the interests of the state government. Representatives represent the people. Compare the number of representatives.
