The Germans convinced the Saudi government to import zero alcohol beer and my parents would use that as a base to make their own home brew. They also made straight moon shine and called it “sid”. The kids are all shipped off to boarding school after a certain age, because compared to life on the compound, boarding school is normal Yes..had relatives living there and at the time, my female cousin was not allowed to drive out of the area… I’ll have to get more details… her husband or a hired driver had to take her out of the compound…I just remember she hated that part.
