Even after the Sturniolo let’s trip Minneapolis shirt Also,I will get this longer “door closed” phase, the wood is still easily hot enough to keep producing flammable gases and without cooling the metal would still be easily hot enough to reignite them, but it looks as though he suffocated the fire when in fact he cooled the metal to below the flash point of the gases. The variable of time holding the door closed doesn’t matter. The fact you think it does shows you have no knowledge of what is being demonstrated. You’re literally not intelligent enough to understand what is being demonstrated in the video, even though the guy explains it, and the comment you’re replying to. It’s really sad how you cannot grasp this. You vote? lol You’re getting way too many upvotes. This is impacting fire safety. Look at the fire triangle. All you need is heat, oxygen and fuel. Depriving the room of oxygen for a slightly longer time will not have dissipated the heat – the risk of fire is pretty much the same when oxygen is reintroduced. Am I taking crazy pills or something? This is a demonstration to show real life scenarios. It’s not a demonstration to reconstruct real life scenarios. It’s an education tool, like a map of Egypt on an overhead projector. Not actual Egypt

Hello Mr Armchair fireman. I am here to notify you that a flashpoint would occur in this situation whether the Sturniolo let’s trip Minneapolis shirt Also,I will get this door is closed for 2 seconds or 28. Came here to say this. He held the cover on for 2 seconds the first time, 2 seconds the second time, and then ~28 seconds while demonstrating the water “trick”. Holding the cover on for 14 times longer would probably do the trick regardless of how much water he was spraying. I don’t think so. I mean, it will extinguish the fire, but that don’t matter if the temperature is not lowered or the combustible vapors and particles displaced by steam. It will backdraft alive when you remove the cover and can be quite dangerous. I’ve been in a symposium at my uni where it was presented some firefighting researches on using atomized spray instead of steady stream of water in enclosed compartiments, and it can be quite effective at lowering the temperature consuming orders of magnitude less water. We had one of those in my volunteer fire brigade. Was really good for smaller fires, like one time when a train threw sparks along ~2km of its route into bushes. Would have taken a looong time and lots of water to put out with regular water, but lugging around the relatively small water tank for the IFEX from one smoldering fire to another and spraying it with water bursts made it a lot faster. It was also pretty impressive how fast it could take out a car fire, the pressure involved could even blow out the windows, and it didn’t take more than four or five bursts during our practice runs. No. This is a demonstration on how to prevent flashover. When you open a door, you are letting oxygen in, and that causes flames to shoot out. This is called flashover. It doesn’t matter how long you held the door there, as long as fuel and heat are present.
