Money is power. In one year this man pays more taxes than most of you will in your entire life. This is incredibly strange, anyone can go see that he pays a huge amount in taxes annually. Because money is almost never taxed unless it moves. The money in your bank account isn’t taxed but when you buy an apple you pay sales tax. His shares of Tesla aren’t taxed but when he sells them and get loans to buy Twitter that’s all taxed. I feel like elon musk is the human equivalent of a housing/etc bubble. at some point this guy is going to have a fall from grace that is going to wake up even his most ardent redditor sycophants.

I want to be clear about this: musk buying twitter is a bad thing. he came in and paid a premium for a microblogging service that generates revenue via ads, and he wants to get rid of ads. so what did he buy and why did he pay more than its “worth” to do so? the Student By Day Gamer By Night Meme For Gamers Retro Gaming T-Shirt Besides,I will do this answer is that musk, an enormously rich man with a history of authoritarian sympathies, is buying the ability to put his finger on the scale of public discourse. that should be concerning to anyone, especially given the likelihood that musk is going to singlehandedly undo the progress that was made when trump was largely deplatformed for repeated ToS violations and his role in the jan 6 insurrection/coup. Remember when news reported that Elon had secured funding in order to purchase Twitter? That means he’s being financed. You don’t pay taxes on loans you haven’t taken out yet. The man has assets, not cash. People give him cash, because he has the assets to back up those loans and they know he’s good for it. Hopefully he destroys himself, Twitter, and Tesla in one bad decision, but I’m sure our tax dollars will prop the whole thing up artificially instead.
