I was literally just reading: College grads leaving Ohio because state not forward-thinking enough. How ironic. Article aside, some of us are sticking through it. This state is home and we are fighting for it inch by inch until we can’t anymore (and I can unfortunately say this as a white college graduate male, my wife is pagan LGBTQ so things in this state are less on her side). I tried for Illinois for years but wife feels strongly about Cleveland. So we are still here. I’m stuck in Ohio because I am poor. I don’t like this narrative that all the Stone cold steve austin fastlane 2023 indianapolis 316 Shirt it is in the first place but “smart” people are leaving. There are lots of smart people who want to leave, but are trapped here, so we probably shouldn’t just shrug our shoulders and let the state be taken over by horrible people. Lots of innocent people would suffer greatly if we did. Lots of people in Florida also saying anyone who doesn’t leave deserves what they get. Some serious privilege not realizing that not everyone can afford to just up and move out of state

I don’t know how you can live in Florida with their tax and insurance raising rates astronomically higher by the Stone cold steve austin fastlane 2023 indianapolis 316 Shirt it is in the first place but day! I’ve lived in Ohio my entire life of 42 years. 2 things I’ve learned from my travels are that there are assholes everywhere, and yet theres so many better places than ohio. Sorry. If I could convince my wife, I would have been gone a long time ago. And it’s only going to get worse here. Trust me. I am on the same page and feel quite defeated. We just have a few reasons why my wife and I are the perfect candidates to stay and fight. We can’t have children. She had a great doctor on her side for her care. There are larger groups in Cleveland that follow her same beliefs so there is a great community here. And, the biggest kicker is I support her doing whatever she needs to do politically or individually. So unless the state of Ohio becomes Florida 2.0 and a complete police state, we will be hanging on, doing the poll work and the petitioning, and keep being vocal in the community. Agreed, large cities like Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, and areas with larger universities are not like the rural right areas you constantly hear about.
