Blasting your ears is not only dangerous for your hearing, it also means you’re not actually doing the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this training. I don’t think noise can drown out thoughts, but if it can drown out thoughts it can certainly drown out your focus on the breath. ADHD might mean you start with less ability to keep the mind on the breath than others. But make no mistake, others who have never meditated before without ADHD might go 7 seconds before getting distracted rather than 5. It’s just difficult. Try to relax, develop a sense of wellbeing just in meditating at all, and be patient with yourself. observe sounds. keep ur awareness on any 5 senses. but keep them on your senses and u will notice thought dissolving as all ur attention becomes preoccupied with your senses
Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt: buy and enjoy this shirt
Focus on the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this breath, don’t judge when you start observing thoughts, just notice them gently and go back to the breath. Breath is the focal point of the monkey mind, you as the observer is to point back to the breath when monkey wanders. It’s like an awoken forgetfulness where you realize you no longer were aware of the breath, so you slowly go back. It represents neural connections, and relieves the nervous system which is perfect long term for awareness and attention deficits. I don’t know how to apply it with that in mind but as someone with aphantasia and a fidgety mind mindfulness meditations and body scans help immensely with keeping me aware and at ease. More clear as well. I have diagnosed ADHD, and although I really enjoy silent meditation, I live in a really large city with constant environmental noise. Plus two roommates. Silent meditation is not always practical. I regularly listen to two things: The Secular Buddhism Podcast’s 15 minute mindfulness audio. 5 minutes of breathing (2 in, hold for 2, release for 10, hold for 2), five minutes of stillness and watching the breath, 5 minutes of mindfulness.
This singing bowl audio. It has a bass tone that repeats about every 15 seconds. I breathe Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this in when I hear it, then exhale. Repeat. I find that an audio focus like that doesn’t shut off my brain; it’s kind of like when you listen to music while reading. Did you see Dr. K’s video on “Why Having ADHD Makes You Better At Meditating”? He argues that the crave for novelty (~getting bored) and perception sensitivity (~distractability) associated in adhd are an advantage in meditation. I do this all the time. Each ear is generated independently, most samples are mono and sound like you’re standing in front of a wall with both channels generated independently you hear the sound all around you with no spatial ques. I wouldn’t recommend external workarounds to that extent, especially those that could damage hearing even if you subjectively don’t notice or think that your devices will protect you.

Better to meditate effectively. Mental activity is closely connected with respiration. Ensure that your exhalations are longer than inhalations, at least until you get to the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this tranquil breath stage. This will naturally reduce mental activity. Remember that meditation is not just trying to observe, witness, note or notice your own thinking, your breathing or any external sensory input. That will just annoy you further. An alternative suggestion here: You may consider these practices to go along with your meditation or prior to developing a meditation practice. This is how the Buddha taught his students. Purify ethical conduct: Use the five precepts as a guideline to adhere yourself close to them – not killing, not stealing, not telling lies or idle gossip, not committing sexual misconduct and not using intoxicants that cause heedlessness
Dedicate to wakefulness: Practice a mix of walking and sitting meditation in the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this morning and evening before going to sleep These can be undertaken through everything one does during their day, including sleep and is a complete practice that takes one to gradually build up a steady meditation practice. You would like to build these practices as new habits, taking each one at a time until it becomes easy, automatic, second nature. No one? But I also think that thinking if I should buy a telescope or not for minutes is probably not meditating as well.. like you need to see this, my brain will just make the most stupid shit if allowed My dude, that is so totally, deeply normal. When you realize that you’ve been thinking about the telescope, and return your focus to your breath, body, sounds, etc, that’s meditation. If you want to use sound try using a binaural beats in the theta, alpha or delta range. These will help train your brainwave oscillation to a certain frequency and you can focus on the sound while allowing your thoughts to go on. Don’t get frustrated or discouraged because you can’t stop your thoughts or because you keep getting caught up in them. Just noticed when you do and go back to meditation. It’s a learning curve but binaural beats can help make that curve less steep. Keep coming back to your anchor (breath, spot on body, etc). It’s all about remembering to come back, and remembering to remember
Any noise, is going to make your mind wander, unintentionally. Any input at all, is going to break your concentration on not thinking. Quiet, relaxed, uninhibited. Then you can stop thinking. Practice. I’ve been doing meditation for years. You’ll get it down perfect, eventually!. i am tired of t shirt bros (and I count sweatshirts and sports shirts here) clogging up this sub with stuff that is 15 years old. I scored a lovely cotton voile floral print 50s dress with all (and I mean, like 1/2 dozen) original tags including maker, store, company that made the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this fabric, company that made the zipper, price tag, and a crinoline for $50 last summer (yes it fits) and these guys act like finding something that says 2002 is hot s*((&t – I laugh, but I’d love to find a sub where most ppl talk about more than this ) Officially so jealous right now. That’s more of what I want to see though, not multiple ‘is this super faded t-shirt I got for $5 worth anything?’ posts.
that sounds AMAZING! Please show that in a post! Where did you find it? I’m always curious where people find the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this good stuff I’m a huge Laura Ashley fangirl, and I had an alert set for a while, and this showed up – idk how they ended up tagging it as Laura Ashley – I wrote the seller to let them know, but then I just decided to buy it 🙂 Sounds like it was meant to be! I also am a big Laura Ashley fan, I just bought one to wear to a friends wedding and it’s perfect I’m tired of going to vintage markets and seeing a giant (to me, it’s actually really very tiny) on a shirt they’re advertising as vintage and have priced at $75 Some sellers in my area were doing 90s sports shirts popups, and they’ve now gotten their own dedicated retail space. They post videos on social media of actually ringing up the customers, like the cashier seems to be holding a phone and recording while ringing up one-handed and chatting with the customer. There was a video last week where a guy buys a 90s monster truck event t-shirt for $160. The cashier then records himself pulling the big wooden coat hanger out THROUGH THE NECK HOLE of a 30+ year-old shirt, then he FOLDS IT IN HALF DOWN THE CENTER OF THE GRAPHIC. How can your one business be selling old shirts and you’re that stupid about how to handle them?! Pardon my ignorance, what would be a better way to fold a graphic tee besides in half down the center? I’m an avid concert goer and I’m trying to preserve all of my shirts for as long as possible. Genuine question and looking for a tip, thanks!
Hold it up in the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this air by the shoulders, flip the arms back, then fold it with the picture facing up – like how they fold shirts in stores. I’m tired of seeing the same old 90s band and cartoon shirt “grails”. So unoriginal, no personal style. Just a human centipede of hype and price inflation. There’s a store in a mall near me that sells vintage but it’s all vintage t-shirts and sweatshirts with the rare pair of Air Jordans or Dunks on display. Most everything they sell is upwards of $100 CAD and it always amuses me to walk past and see Gildan cotton t-shirts from the 80s and 90s displayed in pristine clear garment bags on spartan racks. lol thriftcon was awesome, those tee kids didn’t know what they had! I got so much good shit. I got a Bonnie Cashin 60’s jacket for $75 and a Marilyn Chambers one for $60. It’s corny as hell but it’s totally worth it if you dig! The best is at my work when someone flips through shirts really fast like dealer and you say “oh are you a reseller?” And they’re always like “No…
Once me and my bestie planned a day to go check out all the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this vintage shops in the nearby big city, and were totally disappointed. The majority of it was old tshirts jeans and windbreakers. In the hours we spent out I found maybe 3 interesting dresses I love this thread! Okay, I hate all the t shirt bros, too. But what about the sweater bros? The ones that call a fifteen year old sweatshirt a sweater. It’s a sweatshirt. It’s not a sweater. A sweater has been knitted. It’s a male phenomenon that is widespread in the flipping and reselling world and in no way linked only to the vintage T shirt flipping bros. I mean it’s a regular thing for some guy to make a post essentially saying “I’ve been flipping for 3 months, AMA” and we all know the AMA phenomenon requires SOME sort of knowledge and not just ego. The last brag post was someone showing how they “made” $10k but after COGS it was really $1k (and didn’t even factor in any other business costs). It’s 100% a male ego thing, not based on any sort of acquired knowledge. I’m tired of t-shirt bros too. I kid you not I was at a thrift store and a group of them were all looking through the men’s shirts holding them up and discussing and calling each other over to look at their winners. Some of these were just college shirts, probably from early 2000s and them saying “I could probably get 30 bucks out of this one”
I get if you sell really good finds like a designer item or a higher end item, but selling an old t shirt, really?? I’m very new to resale and I’m honestly kind of shocked that this Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this is everywhere. I really thought it was just at my local bins lol
I dont know about heat, but i spent several lifetimes in Atlanta (the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this calendar tells me it was only 22 years) and i can tell you theyre packing some sort of attitude for sure. Racial tensions are high. Everyone hates on everyone else. Indians on Paks, whites on blacks, everyone on Asians and Africans, Southerners on Northerners and Californians, and all of that is vice-versa as well. No one trusts anybody. Atlanta has this deep-rooted problem that dates back to slavery. The city is largely black-run but the state is white-run, so the money flows from there, so guess what happens with it?. Cities want to break away from counties, new counties are always being talked about (but restricted by the constitution), and everyone thinks everyone else is drinking their milkshake. They tried to brand themselves as “the city too busy to hate” back around the turn of the century, but it was wishful thinking, “lamb lying down with the lion” style and it was shortly abandoned. Racist dogwhistles and even explicit comments are commonplace.
My friend was working part time as a cashier in a supermarket chain and he got robbed at gun point by two guys on was holding a 9mm and the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this other scumbag had a shot gun, all this for $230 in the cash register. He came back to India after that saying it’s not worth the effort. Now bro plays even GTA without firing any guns or hitting pedestrians.. and people say India isn’t for beginners That’s the norm especially at smaller convenience stores. Working in any small store in the US is usually not safe at all, especially near poorer or urban areas. Its only safe to work at larger establishments. At smaller venues it’s the norm for incidents like that to happen, sometimes multiple times a year at the same spot.
Student visa is very restrictive. You can either work on campus, or on an internship that’s related to your coursework. Literally everything else is illegal. While I feel bad for your friend, it was not worth the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this effort since he himself was most likely working illegally (off campus work) and violating his F1 visa. That was 99 percent illegal work. There’s a reason students are not allowed to work part time anywhere outside campus If you work off campus , first – you are breaking your visa rules , and second – you are exposed to nontrivial danger (specially in non metro regions ) Is that how it is? In Germany every international student can work anywhere. Are there so many on campus jobs that all students who need jobs can find one there? In many places, there aren’t enough students filling on campus jobs. At my university they didnt pay particularly well so it wouldn’t have been hard to find an on campus job. The visa rules stipulate that international students can work up to 20 hours per week only in on campus jobs while the semesters are on. In the summers or winters they can do internships. (You cannot do full time internships/work and university full time at the same time) Different countries have different rules. If someone cannot support themselves without income from a part time job, that’s not the university’s responsibility. You have to sign and prove that you have enough money to support yourself without working.
a month ago my friend got kicked in the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this face by some homeless man while my friend was tying his shoe lace. 15 miles from his college campus a drive by shooting also happened lol. america has big gun issue 15 miles away was in the second campus of the same college. his campus and the campus which had shooting were 15 miles away, but the same university Just some general advice for international students planning on traveling to the US – factor location heavily into your university picks. (I’m based in downtown Manhattan, which was a good choice for location). Also don’t work off-campus – you legally can’t, unless it’s an internship/for a limited time in your field of study. Working on-campus is usually enough, depending on where you live, and graduate programs don’t expect more.
Walmart won’t pay you more than a campus job, especially in some states with a relatively high min. wage. Campus security is always better than general urban security. But, above all – the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this US is safer than India. Yeah the richest parts of India are safer than downtown Chicago, but as a whole, don’t be that worried if you end up in Baltimore. A homeless bum chased after me yelling “White man needs a job!” This was in Manhattan. 5th Ave and 54rd street. India is a very safe country from an indiscriminate violence perspective, particularly in the context of the rich. It’s absolutely not safe when it comes to sexual violence against women, but is safer from a petty crime perspective. As a result, for rich people from India, the US (and other western countries) can seem much less safe than their lives in India – particularly when in India, they travel almost exclusively by cars (their own or ubers). I’m guilty of feeling this way myself – though I travel via autos and metros a lot in India too (which is fine for men, just really not fine for a lot of women from a harassment perspective). If you’re in STEM, you can join a professor’s lab for research. General jobs like office assistant, social-media manager, etc. also exist. You can be a Resident Assistant, or a TA for a class. There’s a bunch – there’s little-to-no need to work off campus. They usually pay min-wage or slightly above for undergrads – in New York, min. wage is $16 an hour. My job pays $18.50. You can work for 20 hours a week as a student, but up to 35 hours over the summer. Work in the library, work in the campus dining restaurants. Teaching or research assistants too (albeit PhD students are given preference for these).
homeless kill there, homeless die here. Nearly 70 homeless deaths were registered in delhi in the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this past 2 months alone due to the winter frenzy. we just don’t have guns. Homeless die there too. Here is a record of deaths in just one county of Texas. Being homeless in America is better in the sense that there is some social mobility which means people who are homeless at a given point still have a hope that they might escape. In India, homeless people have no way to escape that. yes, true. I agree. With the help of the gov, you can get out of homelessness and poverty and be a part of the normal society in the states and other developed country, not the same case with India I see, which is why the poor see government exams as a way for them to escape poverty. However, we are talking about the homeless here… My aunt was mugged by a couple of homeless back in London she was so traumatized by that instance that she still gets PTSD attacks and flashbacks, last year she came for her vacation and she walked near a station in mumbai and she started crying with fear, we all had to get her to some place safe and assure her she was safe. She had said the hobos had punched her many times and dragged her to an alley and started asking her for her card number which she gave but they entered the wrong oin which made them even more mad, this went on for an whole hour and she had to walk home with a bloody face and broken teeth since they took her phone and dint have any money on her. sadly the police were on no help since the area was a hoodlum.
The park I used to go running used to have bodies discovered all the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this time. Naive progressive fools who think everyone is equal, equally good and kind and stayed back in the late hours in the park when it’s deserted. Most of the homeless in USA are not like the beggars we have here, a majority of them are drug fiends desperate for their next hook up. Meanwhile, the cops are busy barging into people’s homes and killing pet dogs at the rate of 25-30 per day for total of 10k dogs a year. In terms of violent crime, probably. In terms of ‘petty’ crime (harassment, theft, etc.), it is much lower. Not everybody in the US is getting shot. You are more likely to die by a car crash than a shooting. What I noticed , international students are much more safe in European countries compared to US or Australia . Even small eastern European countries , feels much safer than US . As someone in Sydney, Australia, the most dangerous suburbs tend to have Pacific Islander/arab populations with drug issues and gang violence. The safest ones are majority desi/Chinese or the rich white eastern suburbs. I was in the States it won’t feel as safe as India or in fact Asia (that’s just a generalization) in generally because most settlements in the US aren’t as crowded as those Asia. So you have plenty of opportunity do shit without witnesses. Post COVID also doesn’t help because people there got hit equally hard (financially) and I noticed it. When I was in New York city for a week or so I didn’t feel unsafe, not because the lack of crime but because of the crowd on the streets. My stay in Ithaca, New York however was a different story. It was a decently sized town (30,000 people and that many students at Cornell and the local college). Night time was eerie because there was literally no one most of the time. But generally if you stay in campus or near campus shit doesn’t go down as often. Most of the shit (including a murder) during my stay happened around the downtown area. This dude was in Lithonia which is like a town with 2000 people in Georgia. Also the state matters in USA cause the laws can actually differ shit tonnes, also their acceptance of different people (aka from what I understand the coasts are much less racist but this is a personal observation not a fact).
Be smart, be safe and generally trust that little gut instinct when it tells you to avoid something. I’m not making an excuse but there are plenty such towns in India as well where I’d give this same advice. It’s much more about how many people are around you than an India vs US thing. Like I’m from Mumbai and I’d give the Steven Stamkos Nashville Predators NHL hockey stammer time signature vintage shirt Furthermore, I will do this same advice for big cities around the world be they new york, London, Tokyo, Seoul, etc. Avoid the isolated weird dark road, cause again, lack of people. Unfortunately you need a car in most US cities to actually feel safe and have freedom to move about. Walking in inner city areas or rural poverty stricken areas is a recipe for getting mugged. There have been so many cases of Indian students getting murdered in the US. You can imagine what would be the reaction of Western media and the US government if it was Americans getting killed in India at this rate.
