Union shops definitely protect lower production workers. I’m not arguing that. But literally everything else is better, in my experience. Interesting. I have not had that same experience. I personally advocate for mixed shops. I have worked in them. Lots of us were non-union, and lots of guys/girls were union. Union action is the reason we’re working “only” eight hours per day, and the reason children are in school, instead of sorting coal. if your job is so bad then scabs eventually wont work and they will have to change things, if the scabs keep working your job wasnt really that bad. Unions are hypocritical. They don’t want everyone unionized because they lose the special place among workers getting higher than average wages. If everyone was in the same situation price inflation would eliminate all of their gains. These unions are actually a bourgeoisie among workers. It is complete hypocrisy.
