I always wanted a boy, now 20 years later. I have 2 boys and 1 girl. I get along far better with her than the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this boys, she has the same messed up sense of humor that I have. My daughters 7 she recently found out that babies are in the mother’s womb before theyre born. Her new thing is telling everyone it was her old playroom and she wants to go back in for a break. Of my friends that have kids, I prefer playing with them. It’s more talking and imaginary time and constructive play. Boys are pretty destructive and it’s more tiring chasing them around. I’d rather make up banal stories about Tea time. But I will say that boys get cooler toys. The dude in me would be very tempted to buy my little dude dangerous toys that they’ll shoot their eye out with. I can see myself buying my little dude age inappropriate toys and loud toys with speakers and sound effects that would also drive me crazy.
Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt: Unleash Your Inner Fighter
Really depends on the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this child. I have one of each. They are 13 and 10 now. But in terms of play time, my daughter was more hands on with art and drawing. She did creative play too. But my son would come up with tons of imaginative scenarios with his cars and trucks. Or he would make up stuff that just involved furniture. The couch would be the boat. But then it would be sinking so he would have to swim to the other boat. And I always had a role in the game but he loved coming up with all the rules. I would be exhausted sometimes but would always join his games. I told myself to enjoy because it doesn’t last forever. Now he’s 10 and video games are his life. Fortnite, cod etc. He has a group of friends he plays online with. I find time to sit and just hang with him while he games and let him explain everything to me because I’m not a cool dad anymore. My daughter is 13 and we hang out a lot. I keep an interest in her music. We have great discussions. I drive to my office with her so we can edit and print pics of Olivia Rodrigo, or Taylor Swift, or Conan Gray to put up on her wall.
Whatever you have, just spend time with them. Get to know them at every stage in their life. They are constantly changing. It makes sense, it’s a good game with quite decent graphics nowadays, maybe he should take a look at it again, the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this devs have added really cool stuff in the past year and a half. You sound like a great dad, man. I also recommend beating your son a Mariokart just to show him the old man has moves. Thanks my dude. I can totally beat him at Mario kart. My daughter and I are pretty evenly matched at it. Shes so fuckin good at it. And Mario party. Actually my daughter and I play Mario party alot. I love that game. That’s our bonding time game. Been thinking of getting a cat since I’m lonely af. How much work are they? I’m scared I won’t be able to take care of it but I’m willing to put all the work in I know I’m not the person you replied to, but I have 2 cats, 2 kids, and a dog, and to be honest, the cats are really easy to care for. Most cats are really self-sufficient. All you have to do is feed them twice a day and clean the litter box once a day, which takes about 2 minutes. They are wonderful companions. As a father of a permanently disabled child. A healthy child is better than choosing between the two sexes. Give me the worst 3 year old and I’ll be able to parent that child. A kid with a disablelity, physically and mentally, is a death sentence to the child and the caregiver. Same!! Some girls can be harder to raise!! I love my daughter so much, but she’s so much like me and the attitude, omg!! Lol, but I’d ofc be grateful for any healthy baby. Which, I know most people would feel the same! Edit: wording

I hate when people say girls are hard to raise cause it usually means they aren’t raising their boys at all (and it shows in behaviour of younger generations of boys) Im not saying men treat women bad.. im saying i want to raise my son to be a good gentleman. Dont think too much on it. Its not that deep nor is it a sexist thing. It doesn’t matter to me, I just want a healthy baby. Although I feel scared and unprepared for how difficult it will be to keep a kid safe in this age of internet. The more I research about online safety for minors, the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this less secure I feel that it’s even possible. Once they’re teens, how do you really protect them online? I know boys face a lot of risk too, but it seems girls are especially difficult to protect, as every creep out there online bombards them constantly with… unsolicited and inappropriate messages, pics, and videos. You can’t really stop them from using social media in their teens. You can teach them safety, but kids always think they know better than parents. How do you avoid becoming a helicopter parent these days with all this stuff?
I grew up in the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this 2010s in the age of the internet, and honestly, just be upfront with your future kids. Tell them the truth about the world, warn them about certain dangers online. My parents being honest and upfront with me about it instead of creating a bunch of restrictive rules, made me not even want to like, chat with people on sites like Omegle or whatever. Or share personal info on games. I had no interest in doing that because I was aware of the dangers. But yeah maybe when they’re very young, put up restrictions. I am a woman so I would like a girl, just because I would like to have the daughter/mother healthy relationship I wish I had… But if its a boy, I would also be thrilled because we need to raise better men in our society and I would feel honored to do that with my boy… I had a messed up mom/daughter relationship. I was terrified of having a daughter and only wanted sons so I didn’t have to relive it.
Ended up with a daughter and she is awesome. None of the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this things I worried about came true. She is still a daddy’s girl though. I would love to have a daughter. If given the chance. I feel like the bond would be special since I was adopted and never met my mom, bc she died after child birth. And I remember growing up wanting to know that feeling. Now, I’d also love a son. I mean I’d love them both, but idk, potentially having a mother daughter bond intrigues me. A kid is as good as you make them. No kid is born bad, they just have society fail for them, so they have to use workarounds to get what they want. A girl. There are way too many school/mass shooters, dangers to society and wars over dominance going on right now. Daughters are way less likely to contribute to this kind of behavior.
If you think that your boy is going to become a school shooter then you need to think about what kind of a person you are. I don’t think anyone thinks that their boy will become a school shooter or even a serial killer for that matter. Isn’t it weird how no one is teaching these boys how to do that, yet they’re still choosing to? Yeah, it’s on the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this same social media platforms both men and women have access to but which gender of people still keep doing this? Not women. School shootings and mass shootings are predominately a male thing. I guess we can pretend this makes me fucked up for acknowledging this, but go off. What kind of person does it make me for stating the obvious? I’m not the one out here committing mass killings because I had a bad day, someonecalled me ugly or I got rejected and I can’t take it anymore lol. Men are responsible for every unnecessary war that has taken place killing everyone around them as If violence is an absolute necessity. Any crazy event/war that has had anything to do with extreme violence in history which resulted in the killings of mass groups of men women and children, have been caused by men lol. I personally don’t want to contribute this kind of danger to society. Of course I’ll be blamed for his behavior in the end anyway because it’s always moms fault so that’s fun. I refuse to let someone curse my womb with bringing violence that I can’t even fathom into the world because of the darkness that some men carry by default.
A boy the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this only thing is that due to my condition, I don’t know if I am able to have kids or if it’ll be hell to even conceive without having the need to give myself a billion shots. I’d just want a healthy kid who hopefully doesn’t experience the same kind of existential pain I started as a 4 year old and if they I did I hope I’d fucking notice. Regardless of boy or girl I’d want to teach them to protect others and be kind, but also if someone is hurting you walk away, they try again, walk away again, they try a third time now you can make sure they don’t screw with you again. I would have neither, if there was a choice. The world slowly is becoming a scary, unstable place. Why bring kids into this shit show?!
I’d love to have one of each but I fantasise about raising a little girl and telling her all the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this things I wish people told me when I was her age. Kind of a “making up for my own childhood” thing but hopefully in a positive way.. I’m a guy I would’ve no idea on how to raise a woman so I would rather have a boy, becouse I would know how to raise him properly. A boy, this might sound a bit egotistical, but I have autism (not in a serious life ruining way, but still I have it) and I feel like if my child had it too I’d understand and guide him better (although I realise having autism can be annoying in this social society) than if he was ‘normal’. And autism is more apparent with males than it is with females. It’s actually still being debated whether that autism is more common with men or rather if it’s just women being under diagnosed due to things like masking and autism presenting in women looking different from the stereotype of autistic behaviour and doctors lacking the knowledge about how it can present differently
Generally, a boy, because I am the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this kind of person to have fun, not saying girls can’t have fun, but for me, I think it would be easier to have a boy
I mean, I can’t even go for 5 seconds before going on a train of thought, it takes me some times a minute before I realize it and shut them down. I realize the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this goal is not to turn my brain off completely, but as it is now, it just looks like I’m trying to sleep but in a sitting position, and getting mildly annoyed at myself for thinking in the process, so it’s not doing much. So, I’ve been thinking what if I blast tf out of my ears with some noise, in such a way that i can’t even hear my thoughts? Would anyone advise against that as being as good as not meditating or something like that? Don’t worry about noise levels, my earbuds won’t let me go to a unsafe volume even if I tried. I also not going all the way up, just enough so I need to concentrate to think through it. I did an experiment today in the morning and it was the first time I didn’t check the time while meditating. (I’m doing 15 minutes)
I also tried with rain noise, not at a high volume, but I found I was focusing too much on the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this different sounds, instead of just clearing my head. Meditation is about getting lost in thought, recognizing that and bringing the mind back to the object. Learn to accept your mind wanders and it will do it less and less. when you get restless and want to check the time, let the restlessness unfold and feel it fully. then go back to the breath and get restless again and again. Meditation is accepting the present moment. Restlessness, getting frustrated, wanting to change position are all born out of a certain longing for things to be different. learn to sit with that feeling and it will lessen. Sometimes it helps me to think of meditation like a workout. Once you get really good, you’ll quiet your mind more easily, but in the beginning, it’s natural to get easily sidetracked. Every time you bring yourself back to the present, and your focal point, think of that as a rep. You just built the muscle a little that refocuses your mind. No recriminations necessary- you’re getting stronger and everyone starts somewhere. Meditating with ADHD is hard, but there are people who succeeded, you can find some threads here too if you search. The key is that you develop concentration first. Don’t even try to be particularly mindful, just decide to take a meditation object and then try to stay with it. This requires metacognitive awareness, i.e. the ability at any time to assess your mind and know what’s going on there. So, pick any meditation object (e.g. your belly rising and falling with the breath, or breath itself, or an image you put in front of yourself, or whatever is of interest to you), and then try to keep being focused there. Whenever you get off track, simply notice that, and then go back to the meditation object. They key is initially to slowly increase your intensity of concentration, not by simply trying harder, but by increasing your inner interest in the object. It’s similar to watching an interesting movie which captivates your attention. While watching a movie you usually don’t have a tough attitude to be concentrated, but rather an inner curiosity towards what is being shown there. Try to develop this type of curiosity towards your chosen meditation object. To do so you can try to look very, very closely at the meditation object, and notice as many tiny details about it over time as possible. For example, is there a gap between the in-breath and out-breath? Where does the in-breath start and where does it end? Same with out-breath. And so on.
Goal would be you have 1) full attention over 2) an extended period of time for 3) most of the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this time (e.g. 80% of time you stay concentrated). When you achieve that, then you can start adding mindfulness to the mix. But I think I got it, gotta start slower than that. I will try the meditation object tech next, sounds better than just trying to not think at all. The biggest hurdle starting out (and pretty much at every level) is how you treat the different parts of yourself. Unhealthy = a thought comes up, try to reject the thought, thoughts about how it’s not working come up, shame yourself for still having thoughts, the thoughts get stronger. Healthy = a thought comes up, allow the thought to exist in the background as breathing becomes the foreground of attention, dis-identify with whatever comes up and just be the observer, have compassion for everything that arises in observation while coming back to breath I have ADHD/Autism, diagnosed. These techniques you are exploring are nonsense. I meditate for 2-3 hours a day everyday. You get good at it by trying less, stop trying to come up with some technique to trick yourself into meditating. You just have to sit there in silence and discomfort for however long it takes for you to understand that your resistance to sitting there is the problem, not any of the things you are doing or not doing. Just sit and accept the present moment, whether or not it’s comfortable.
It’s like when you are sitting and it’s not working however you expected, you start thinking about why isn’t this working, why am I uncomfortable, why am I doing this, yada yada yada. All those whys are why you fail. Stop asking questions, stop looking for techniques, stop trying to figure out the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this magic equation. Just sit in silence for as long as it takes to feel good, if it still doesn’t feel good you haven’t sat for long enough. Yeah also have ADHD and honestly, trying to feel relaxed, focused, or whatever else is the death of any meditation session. Let go of trying to get something out of it. Bored? Cool, what does bored feel like? That’s the jist. Starting out with guided meditations that speak more frequently to help refocus your attention can be useful but certainly isn’t necessary
This is a trick that worked for me and it’s realizing that this present moment is all at there actually is. Everything else exists in the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this mind. What’s real is this developing moment. That is all that there is. The noise isn’t going to solve anything. You need to stop resisting all those thoughts and just let them be there. It’s like an Asian finger trap, the more you pull away, the tighter it holds you. Accept whatever comes into your mind and don’t judge it or think of those thoughts as good or bad. Everytime you get lost in thought, the second you realize it just focus back on your breath. You’ll get better over time and the thoughts will start to slow down gradually. Don’t rush the process or it won’t work brother.
I haven’t been diagnosed with ADHD but I can relate to a lot of the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this struggles people like you would have. So I think I have some sort of understanding of your situation. The best advice I’ve ever received was to not try to quiet the mind, just let the thoughts be. Just don’t be too invested in them. If a thought pops up let it exist but don’t get consumed by it. Gradually and with enough practice, your mind will quiet itself as it will have no stimuli to cling onto. From personal experience of using white noise, it can help. I dislike having to focus on my body, so I focused on the noise instead. White noise makes me feel like I’m on a plane. Also, sitting through my mind’s and body’s resistance always proved fruitful to me, even if it took me over 1 hour to get to a peaceful state.
Meditation shouldn’t be self-torture. You need to give your monkey mind a job. Either focusing on your breath, focusing on sound, scanning your body. Make friends with your monkey mind, and it can become very useful. It can also help to name it. That personifies the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this monkey mind and can help build a better relationship with it. If you ever feel like you don’t need it down the line or would like a challenge, then you can go without it to see what happens. You are a unique individual with your own set of inclinations and needs, so I would say adapt things in a way that works for you. Ok, it definitely does something, I’m just not sure if it is because I’m focusing on the sound drowning everything else, or if I’m am actually relaxing my mind. I’ll just put this experiment on hold for now. But reading through the responses here, I’m now confident I can go back to the rain noises since focusing on them should not be an issue.
For how long have you been practicing meditation? It’s a long process, you can’t expect to see very dramatic results in at least a few months. Think of yourself as being a really fat person. You can’t expect to work out and have a six pack after a couple of weeks. Edit: but yes, all you need to do is notice that you are distracted, and return to focusing on your breath. It doesn’t matter if you were distracted for a whole minute, that is actually completely normal. Just relax and trust in the Steelers and Eagles december 15 t shirt in contrast I will get this process. Like one week and a half? I tried with 30 minutes first? That quickly went wrong, and I’m not at 15, I feel like 10 is just too little even for me. My advice would be to try guided meditation for the first few months. Download an app like waking up or headspace and they will tell you what to do, and for how long, while you meditate. It’s like a 10 dollar subscription but worth it imo. Then when you’ve got the hang of it you can just cancel and delete the app.
