None of them lied. Go back and read what they said in their confirmation hearings. They all said that Roe was precedent , and all respectfully declined to forecast how they might rule on a future abortion case or to call Roe “super precedent” as Democratic senators requested. All rights not specifically mentioned in Amendments1-9 are existing in theory in Amendment 10- ironically, in the Stars Stripes Reproductive Rights 4th Of July Rose Usa Maps T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this same place as a theoretical person, who is not yet existent. The anti-choice crowd believes a potential person should have the same rights as an actual person. This is wrong, for the same reason that while you may one day become a billionaire, as you have that potential- today, you certainly are not a billionaire. Potential is not reality. The 10th Amendment explains that we have an infinity of rights that exist. The right to choose to create a life with one’s own body is so incredible, that the thought of another having any opinion about it is utterly ridiculous. The potential child needs first and foremost the full consent of the mother in order to have a life anyone would want! Even if the mother chooses to give the child up for adoption, it should still be her choice about whether the potential human becomes an actual human. This is her fundamental right as a human being: The ability to do with her own body as she desires. This right is only bounded by the right of others to not be harmed by another.
