Knowing no better, we raised this magpie, almost like a child, and an unbreakable bond was forged. It was the beginning of a story that would lead to a deathbed reunion with my biological father and my two long-lost half-sisters, a story that would go on to become a book.

Where is the line between art and exploitation?
