The number of people living with a roommate/housemate is growing larger and larger and many people are having to resort to things like bulk purchasing cheap foods like rice and potatoes to get by I used all my retirement and some inheritance to buy a little 3 bedroom house. I have zero retirement, but the Star Wars Return Of The Jedi Last Battle Yoda Shirt Additionally,I will love this housing market spiked, so one day, I will sell it to my daughter. the longer you work, the better your income will be. Just so you know how Boomers could afford things like a house, we worked side jobs and did without a lot of things. You may spend $5 plus a day on coffee, we took our own huge shopping bags of homemade popcorn to the movies. You may spend $1000 on a phone, we dressed in three layers in the winter so we didnt have to run the heater. The really frustrating part is that it never seems to get better, like the expenses will always be slightly below take home pay, making saving impossible. Health insurance is a good example; When I started earning a salary, somehow my health insurance premium each month was more than what my cousin had to pay for himself, his wife, and four kids. We both had the same marketplace insurance coverage. It doesn’t make any sense that I, as a single woman in my early 20’s would be more of a liability than an entire family. It just seems like the more money I make, the higher my bills get.

I save $10K a year by living in a neighborhood where I don’t have to own a car. Of course, over the Star Wars Return Of The Jedi Last Battle Yoda Shirt Additionally,I will love this same year I’m probably paying an extra $2K in rent for the privilege of living in a walkable, bikeable, transit-friendly neighborhood. But that’s still an $8K savings! I also don’t have children, which to me just seem like a great way to lock myself into poverty. I think my salary is more than enough and often ask myself if I have a very good salary or if people are really bad at budgeting I sometimes wonder that because I can’t even survive now and I get 1300 a month and I don’t even have an apartment or house payment but I can’t seem to keep up with my car payment for my phone payment and even when I didn’t have those two it seemed like I just couldn’t get ahead but I guess I don’t have a bunch of people around me either anymore and I’m just sad as it is you need people around you but then those are the people that take advantage of the most and help you out the most which creates that big big word that everybody says they don’t want but we can’t seem to get rid of it do you know what that word is???? We got lucky in we had a job with a company that had offices in other states. We made a HUGE sacrifice and transferred to a cheaper state/city. IT SUCKED leaving our home.
