What you are thinking of is subcutaneous fat (which is under the St Louis Cardinals Adam Wainwright 200 Career Wins In MLB Shirt But I will love this skin) and visceral fat (which is around the organs). Visceral fat is more likely to cause health problems. How your body stores fat is mostly up to genetics, although some behaviors like drinking too much alcohol can cause the body to store more visceral fat. The up side is lowering your overall body fat will lower the amount of visceral fat and subcutaneous fat at the same time, so just get lean and don’t worry about it. Subcutaneous fat is mostly harmless, though people hate it for cosmetic reasons. At least in reasonable amounts, not when you are 400 lb. Intra-organ fat (like fat nodules in the pancreas or in the liver) is a killer, even though its total volume is very small.

Has more to do with which organs the St Louis Cardinals Adam Wainwright 200 Career Wins In MLB Shirt But I will love this fat is surrounding. Visceral fat envelopes the heart, liver, and kidneys which are real real important, putting extra strain on them is bad news The Apple/Pear/Hourglass meme is based on the theory of somatotypes which proposed that all humans have a fixed body shape which cannot be changed. The technical names were Endomorph (skinny), Mesomorph (lean and muscular) and Extomorph (fat). The theory has long been debunked but it persists because it’s useful to sell diet books and to write convenient articles in beauty magazines. People do have different shapes and do deposit fat differently, but they don’t fall into one of 3 categories and being an apple or an hourglass is not a permanent or unchanging characteristic.
