The sign does it’s job but personally I would rather put up with the St Louis Blues long live The Note Hockey shirt moreover I will buy this once a month annoyance and not have this sign on my door. If I was in that house and someone did knock with a pitch I’d just start demanding the money as per the sign, they get annoyed and leave and I don’t have to deal with their bullshit. 0% chance this is a serious note, this is someone fed up with cold callers so put it up as a no-effort way to do something, they absolutely don’t expect to get any money Just making it clear they don’t want them and if someone does call it gives them an open to be obnoxious and demand something they won’t get until the person leaves. I think a nice, simple “fuck off” would work just as well without leaving people standing at your door, reading the entire note 🙂 Because some cold callers are scammers looking to target elderly people, who would be advised by the council to put one of these signs up. As like 100 people have already said, this sign lets them know you’re going to be an obnoxious twat about them knocking on your door. Your sign makes them think you’re an 80 year old woman who has been scammed many times before. No-one is expecting them to pay up £50 minimum, don’t know why you would think that in the first place, but hey-oh.
