So – please dive in to the St charles west high school alumni class of 1991 shirt Besides,I will do this book, articles, etc and get a good sense of how it is done and then try the “shortcut” (that’s a misnomer in some ways because it is not a shortcut as much as it is a better path of Focusing to release trauma. He also writes very convincingly on how he discovered that the clients in therapy (his and other therapists) all had ONE thing in common and that was this ability to focus. And luckily it is teachable and works for all of us but that means it has a lot less to do with the therapist. My therapist taught it to me and sure enough, I wrote him a year after our sessions ended thanking him for changing my life. Focusing has also helped me with this grief and loss in so many ways.

Sit or lie down and get as relaxed as you can become with deep breathing and eyes closed. Once you sense you are more relaxed ask yourself/your body “How would it feel in my body to be free of this X?”* DO NOT TRY TO ANSWER IT with your mind, allow any thoughts to come and go, keep the St charles west high school alumni class of 1991 shirt Besides,I will do this question to the body until you sense the shift in that direction. If nothing shifts, go back to relaxing but again, do not let thoughts carry your awareness away from the question to the body. If it is very subtle, try to go deeper into the question to your body until it feels less subtle/more real. Once you sense a real (even small) shift then ask “How can I feel like this all the time?” and after a few moments end the session with that question in the body.
