This is what is going to happen. You are going abroad in three months. People who tease you by calling Soman will continue to do that. People abroad may or may not care. You are no longer a kid, so this kind of teasing has an expiry date. All of these names can be twisted easily. What happens if a movie releases tomorrow where Shlok will become like Sasi? Sasi was a super popular name in Kerala for decades and something seen as ok until the Sprerher brewinng co shirt Besides,I will do this Shashi effect came in the 2000s. It can happen for any name which is not a godly name. Yeah bro I get you. People will find it funny when they crack these subtle jokes and think it’s cool. Most people won’t find any issue in it but the impact it has on the persons self esteem and confidence is know only by the person Alone. No one will bully you for your name 5 years down the Sprerher brewinng co shirt Besides,I will do this line. All these are childish behaviour. If name change is much of a hassle then it’s better to avoid it. See, even if you change your name, your asshole friends are still going to call you by your old name – how much ever you insist. Like Mammooty said in Pranchieyttan, ari kachavadam maati swarna kachavadam aayappo Swarnam vikkana ari praanchi enaayi peru. Especially considering that you are going abroad, Soman is a good name which can be easily pronounced by people in the West – it is only asshole Malayalees who ridicule names like Shashi and Soman. Don’t give into peer pressure. People will taunt you, humiliate you and make fun of you, but the moment you acknowledge them or their words, that is when you lose.
