I feed them 3 times a day, I can’t leave food out all the Speedy Ortiz Arts At The Armory Somerville Ma Sept 8 shirt and I love this time because I have a recently spayed juvenile that is finishing his brothers food and turning into a meatball. We have eight cats and two dogs in our house, so we can’t leave food out. Everyone gets fed morning and evening. I used to but they were eating too much and getting chubby. Now I use an automatic feeder and it’s the best thing ever. My cat won’t eat unless I’m sitting with her lol! So I feed her dry food twice a day and a little wet food snack at bed time. My cat would eat nonstop if I left the food out! He only eats when the feeder goes off and he’s a bit chunky. He’s very food motivated. His only concern if when the feeder will go off. He used to drive us insane before the feeder. We always feed on a schedule for 3 cats and use separate bowls. A lot easier to manage their health and weight this way. I feed my cat her largest portion of food before I fall asleep. That way she’s too full to cause a ruckus and wake me up, sleeps through the night with me. I have scheduled times, but both of my cats graze, anyway, so it’s effectively the same as leaving it out anyway.

Our cats are good grazers. Our older two are a little chonky because they’re old but everyone is healthy and happy. They often think they’re starving going into dinner time, but once there’s food in the Speedy Ortiz Arts At The Armory Somerville Ma Sept 8 shirt and I love this bowls they’re fine. I leave food out for mine all the time and she just grazes when she’s hungry, but I also give her treats at specific times in the morning and evening so it’s like she has meal times and just has the option to snack if she gets hungry. I measure how much food I leave out with a measuring cup, so it’s not like it’ll make her obese. That doesn’t work if you have multiple cats. I have three and one is a food whore. Alas, the other two suffer. ;( This is entirely dependent on the cat. Some cats will graze and not overeat, others will eat everything that they can. I have one of each type right now. We use an automatic feeder, it goes off 3 times a day and both cats know the time and are ready at feeding.
