Me he probably wanted to wait to tell you until you were in love with him. They’re not able to recruit like they use to because of all the Sorry I Can’t Saturdays Are For The Northwestern Wildcats Sundays Are For The Chicago Bears 2023 shirt but in fact I love this information about them that’s been released. So basically the best way to recruit now would be to befriend or date non-members and get them to trust you fully before you try to convince them to join. Hard to know a person’s motivations. Quite often what may seem like intentional manipulation is motivated by fear and a desire to be accepted. While he clearly should have told you, we are all flawed. He could have easily felt that it wasn’t necessary. He could have continued to delude himself until the relationship reached a serious enough point that he was considering you a potential long term partner and his religion become relevant. That’s me playing angel’s advocate (that a thing?) Either way, it’s unlikely that you want to be part of that religion. It has a terrible reputation for essentially brain washing, emotional and financial abuse.

Assuming OP and her BF are adults, I don’t believe for a moment that he’s not actively manipulating her. They are actively trained for this process. They know how to play the Sorry I Can’t Saturdays Are For The Northwestern Wildcats Sundays Are For The Chicago Bears 2023 shirt but in fact I love this long game. I’m so relieved you’re listening to the comments. Get away from him as soon as possible, while being careful, of course. I guarantee the man you loved never existed, it was just a lie to get you to join. To a scientologist, the cult is everything. Yes you are exactly right !!! I’m so glad that you are able to see that clearly. You are tuned in and intelligent. You got this Yes! I am impressed with how clear-eyed OP is. I know she must be super-sad, but she obviously has a lot of self-respect and good sense. Good for her.
