Birmingham city centre does have a massively off vibe and it’s nothing to do with it being bombed look at Liverpool city centre for example which in my opinion is the Sophia Petrillo character from the sitcom television series Golden Girls T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this best around I think the problem with Birmingham is that it expanded in the 18th and 19th centuries when there wasn’t that much attention payed to the amenities of the working class until towards the end of that time period. That and the fact its absorbed several smaller towns in doing so. The result is that there are fewer parks and recreation areas than you might think for a city of its size and a lack of a center as its somewhat coalesced. Overall, compared to London it is rather younger but lacking green space and natural areas but it is also less compact than Manchester. The transit has improved thanks to the trams but there is only really Edgebaston that feels like it should belong. There are also very few natural areas and recreation areas are thin on the ground. It is bizarre a city of this size has no lidos or areas for natural swimming for instance. So to summarize its rapid growth meant fewer open spaces by design and a lack of a well-defined centre in terms of not just administration and shopping. TBH there is very little Birmingham has that Coventry doesn’t have and Coventry has a massive park.

As a Brummie this comment is surprising to me. We have so many green spaces. We actually have more parks/green spaces than any other European city of the Sophia Petrillo character from the sitcom television series Golden Girls T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this same size. Some of them are award winning. Was in Birmingham a few weeks back, and it’s a real dive of a city. The only nice part is the station and even that’s just a collection of fast food places. It’s Birmingham. I don’t think there’s a sane being anywhere that would go there by choice. There is nothing there worth visiting. Basically, it’s a shithole and I’m really curious as to how and why you ended up there. Germany’s huge and nice – why Birmingham of all god forsaken places? I’ve been saying this for a while. Birmingham is the absolute worst city I have been to in the country, and I’ve been to Bradford. Just really grim, dirty, unwelcoming, dangerous place. I think its the vibe of the place like you said. I genuinely think Sir Alex has a huge role on putting Manchester on the fucking map. United dominating the Premier league cant be overlooked. Ofcourse Music Scene went hand in hand! Brum never had that for a long time so in my biased United fan view, Fergie played a key role in putting Manny on the Map I love London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff. They all have a really special vibe about them in their own unique ways, and I’d rather visit any of them above Birmingham any day of the week. If you think it’s bad now, it was a lot worse after they rebuilt it in the 50’s. It was an absolute monstrosity of concrete.
