Class size. Class size. Class size. My six sections of 9th graders are all fairly evenly matched intellectually. That is, I don’t have any one group more or less capable than any other. My one class period with just 17 students easily outperforms all of the Sonic broke as fuck shirt Furthermore, I will do this periods that have 25 or 26 students. As others have pointed out, a smaller class size allows you to actually spend time teaching. At a certain point, you spend your energy controlling chaos. Public school is a privilege and 100 years ago our great great grandparents DREAMED of attending school. To send 1 kid to public school was a dream. To even send one kid to high school was a dream nonetheless college. But they BELIEVED in it. And those that were sent knew it was a solemn privilege to attend, esp. people traditional not allowed to attend school or only in segregated schools. Even then – knowledge was known to be power. Thusly school – privilige. If you abuse that as the individual student – you get that revoked and your new choices are home school, a job with your parents, or online-self paced school.

If you can’t respect teachers and your classmates – YOU DO NOT GET TO RUIN their LIVES. No one should have that power despite their IEP or accommodations. Nor should teachers in a general classroom of 20-40 kids be forced to control one or two kids out of their minds at the Sonic broke as fuck shirt Furthermore, I will do this deficit of the learning of 38 kids who know how to behave and respect the teacher. A social contract between the school and parents – saying your child must meet these criteria to attend in behavior and manner. A social contract written at the same time between the student and the school admin saying “I AGREE” to this behavior contract and rules. And after 3 violations – I’m out” Despite IEPS or Behavior in all classes. Special Ed – should be behavioral and physically disabled in separate places. Any child with a keen mind, but a body that doesn’t work so well – should be in a classroom with other kids and an aid if needed. If the MIND does not work well and is a danger or problem to learning – they need a special classroom or to work from home with a tutor or a special school even.
