I don’t think consumers would be very happy if the Sometimes I Just Look Up Smile and Say I Know That Was You Butterfly Watercolor T-Shirt and I will buy this cost is shifted to them. Everyone expects to enjoy cheap food and vacations in Vietnam, but then complains that Vietnam is not Eco-Friendly… You want to pay $3 for a bowl of Pho (To Go), but the Eco-Friendly Materials cost about $1 dollar for the container. So how can the vendor deal with this? One thing that’s not often mentioned is how the population is. Unlike most countries where people gather around towns with empty farmland between them, Vietnam has people EVERYWHERE. Imagine running garbage collection for every meter of land from Saigon all the way down to Ca Mau. We live in rural Laos. We pay a guy $2.50 a month for a guy to take our non compostable garbage away. 2 black bin liners full. I guess they end up being burnt or dumped somewhere else. Local villagers wouldn’t pay that so they burn on their land. Limited choices.

It’s the Sometimes I Just Look Up Smile and Say I Know That Was You Butterfly Watercolor T-Shirt and I will buy this old practice, before the age of plastic most trash are organic stuff like leaves and straw. Plastic age taken over so fast in these rural areas that people have not picked up new practice for them yet. They might not even be aware of the danger of toxic plastic fumes. Even if there was a waste collection service people will not pay for it. There is little to no education on the environment. Fun Fact. I was involved in a program that helped a community of islanders in Khanh Hoa sort their waste and sell it monthly to a company that would come and pick it up and buy it. So this pretty poor fishing community would make money from recycling. It was successful for around 6 months until they just stopped doing it. It was too much work for them seemingly so they just reverted to the status quo and burned it or tossed it in the sea.
