We have an abundance of parents who never wanted kids in the Some of us grew up listening to Jimmy Buffett the cool ones still do signature shirt Additionally,I will love this first place. Parents in the US that care about their child’s wellbeing don’t kick them out at 18. Many even do things like pay for their kids to go to university since that’s not exactly free here. Not all Americans do that, but the boomers tend too lol! Generation Z here and my husband & I decided years ago that our kids are welcome to live with us (for free) as long as they’re going to college or working. However, we were both thrown out at the age of 18 so perhaps that affected our experience? All I know is that I expect that when our kids buy a house they’ll have at least 20% down payment plus an emergency fund set aside. I can’t speak for anyone else’s motives, but I wanted to move out and be my own person as soon as I could. Living under my parents’ rules, doing what they wanted when they wanted and not what I wanted, just made me feel like I was not growing as a person, but just an extension of someone else. Yes, it was more expensive to live on my own than with my parents, but it was money well-spent on freedom and autonomy. Most don’t. I usually find that a lot of these kicks come from dysfunctional families or weird parents. There is some pressure to move out around that age but personally I think it come from a good place of trying to get you ready for adulthood

I think it depends on the Some of us grew up listening to Jimmy Buffett the cool ones still do signature shirt Additionally,I will love this financial ability of the parents. I certainly could not afford to support my children into their late 20s. Basically, your parents paid for your home downpayment. Would it be nice if all parents could provide their kids a 20% down on a home, sure, but just aint the reality for many. It’s a cultural standard that was fostered intentionally. Why? Why else? To sell things and create resource taps. Everyone needing their own home means everyone needs their own car, they need a set of appliances, they need insurance, homes can be speculated on much easier if people want them, and on and on. I don’t think this it’s correct, what it happens it’s that most of americans go out to college, maybe in the same are or out of town so they have to go. But im not sure they get kick out when they turn 18. What i can say, it’s that it’s more of stigma of being a “Loser” if you are over 20 and live with your parents. In most of the world, this doesn’t happen, actually you leave home when you either buy a house or get marry.
