vvI am a house cleaner. I got a gift(card/gift card/money) from every single one of my clients last year. I just could not believe it, it made me so happy and thankful. We really do appreciate it so much. I think it’s a great idea! im a janitor at a gym, a regular early morning member gave me a christmas card with a $20 inside saying thank you for my hard work. i could have cried, it was the Snoopy Woodstock Happy Everything shirt moreover I love this sweetest thing ever, i sent pictures of it to my family and friends i was THAT thrilled and touched by it. OP, your heart is in the absolute right place. even if it’s just a couple quid in a card saying thank you, it will be so gratefully appreciated by the cleaner, i promise you this. Cleaners do so much hard work that nobody else wants to do, and get very little recognition for it. Thank you for doing what you do!

Snoopy Woodstock Happy Everything shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

It really is hard work!! I used to clean a large two story house every week top to bottom. The primary shower was huge with small mosaic tiles. Scrubbing that clean could take ages not to mention lugginthe Snoopy Woodstock Happy Everything shirt moreover I love this vacuum up and down the stairs and dusting the built in wine rack above one stair case. I nearly fell down those stairs trying to dust that. We had a janitor in highschool named Sandy and he’d unlock the vending machine room for us in between classes. He wouldn’t do it for everyone, just those that actually respected the guy and were generally good kids. Eventually he got into shit for doing so, so he showed us there was a way to unlock it using our student ID card. He also showed us a way where we could pay for one drink and get multiple. So if someone in class really wanted a can of pop but couldn’t get into the vending machines, someone usually had a spare in their bag. For a slight mark-up, of course. Last year, every employee (75+) at my company got a six-pack and a bottle of wine as an Xmas present. Each department head organised it. Maintenance and the gardeners were told to stop in the break room on their way out and take a six pack and a bottle each. Admin got the expensive wines and beers. So what did I, literally the only housekeeper, get as an Xmas gift?
