Exactly. Meeting students where they are at. I kind of like the Snoopy Watching Sometimes I Need To Be Alone And Listen To Pink Floyd Shirt in other words I will buy this one room school house model. I like how if a student was advanced in reading, they went to that reading class, but if they were behind in math, they went to that particular math class. I don’t think there should be a stigma for a student who is behind in math. Maybe they could have it where if you are a grade level behind in math, you do go down lower grade. But if you are advanced in reading, you can move at the grade. I think this is a symptom of a bigger societal problem. People can’t get by on the jobs and wages they have. They have to work extra hard just to get basics, let alone what they need. Parents do electronic parenting because they don’t have the bandwidth after dealing with their two jobs or wondering how to get their next meal. If they could only work one job and come home and be with their kids, be a parent, help them with homework, take them places. Parents lack a support system too. They need a neighbor or grandparent to rely on in emergencies, but they don’t have that. They could build a support system, if they didn’t have to work 2 jobs to pay both rent and daycare. And if the neighbors were able to get treatment for their issues too.

Yes, there will always be parents who abdicate their responsibility completely, but most parents want to do a better job. Yeah, this is my take too. I do want to state that the Snoopy Watching Sometimes I Need To Be Alone And Listen To Pink Floyd Shirt in other words I will buy this following may seem like a defense of parents, but that’s not the opinion I hold. I can still be mad that they fuck their kids up while knowing how hard it is to not fuck them up this days When over half the country is one paycheck away from broke, whem the country is in the middle of a loneliness epidemic, and when having a local community is getting rarer and rarer, you just can’t expect parents at large to be able to be engaged with their kids Of course there are people who do manage to be wonderful parents in these hard times, but the harder something is, the fewer people there will be who do it
