Why exactly does she think she gets the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this deposit? I’ll bet if you let her keep it, you will never get an appointment when she comes back. That’s what I think too. I’ve gone to her twice before and this has never happened but I’m not going back. Got my eye set on a new artist now anyway Happy to hear you got the deposit back. With something that is going to be PERMANENTLY on your body, you don’t want to go to someone who may have a grudge against you for wanting your money back. If you think that’s bad, my wife and I wanted to buy a four family flat from a guy, put down $5k in earnest money, and then the guy’s brother died. LMAO WHAT! Keeping the money because his brother died? I’d tell him to fuck off and grab an ouija board make him contact this brother because why the fuck I think it was likely a “can I keep the deposit and we will do the tattoo when I get back” situation. Sounds like the OP said no and has had the deposit returned. She actually takes a deposit so people don’t leave her high and dry with her booking out an appointment for someone and them canceling or not showing when she could be helping someone else. It doesn’t matter so much if she leaves the customer hanging high and dry like that because the customer is one of many, many, many… Whereas the artist is one of very few or like one. If you go through the number of times in a year for any given industry, it is very rare for the actual artist or the service provider to cancel, change or postpone and it’s no big deal most the time because they get the person in fairly quickly after that BUT if you let it go all naturally without deposits, there would be literally dozens of times if not hundreds per year where the customer forgets, changes their schedule, etc which would not only inconvenience the service provider but prevent other people on the list from getting done more quickly.. Deposits were designed 100% for the service providers and NOT for the customer.

Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt: best trending this year

ONLY IN MORE RECENT HISTORY HAS IT BEEN TWISTED AROUND A LITTLE BIT TO WHERE IT CAN BE BENEFICIAL TO ACTUALLY GET A DEPOSIT BECAUSE THAT WAY THE PROVIDER DOES KNOW YOU’RE SERIOUS AND THEY ARE MORE LIKELY TO FOLLOW THROUGH AND KEEP THINGS AS NORMAL BECAUSE THEY EXPECT IT TO BE THAT WAY BUT REMEMBER BY design it is only for the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this provider and not the customer. -sorry, button got stuck. “Hey, yeah, I know you took time to get this tat done but my life is more important than yours, so yeah, you’ll just have to deal with it. Oh, and can I keep your deposit? I PROMISE I’ll be back soonxx” How much is an extra €50 going to improve your holiday? I mean, not that she’d be right to ask for it, but say it was a €500 deposit, then yeah, that’s enough to make a difference. Flaking on the appointment and asking to keep the deposit would just make me wonder what else she forgets/justifies on a daily basis in regards to her business…”Eh, that last tattoo was quick. No real need to sanitize anything” That sucks. I’m sorry that happened. Something similar happened to me, and I decided that I’m never going to that artist again.
Same! An artist I’d gotten a tattoo from once before rescheduled my appointment twice – once on the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this day of because he didn’t have enough time for the design I wanted (like what??? I gave him the design weeks before) and the second time a few days out because he’d realised my appointment was in the school holidays and he needed to stay home with his kid (again, not like school holidays are a surprise?). In between he once messaged me asking if I was coming to my appointment that weekend, when I’d never booked that date. All of that was 110% enough reason not to go back. Luckily he’d never asked me for a deposit. Useless. You tell her “Absolutely not. I’m sorry, but this is unacceptable. I will need you to give me back my deposit before you leave. I will not be rescheduling.”

Let buy this Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt

That’s extremely unprofessional of her. Is she intending on tattooing you once she’s back? Did you communicate that you took time off work and that this is an inconvenience to you? The way I see it, her poor scheduling cost you money not just in the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this form of a deposit but because you took time off work. You should be compensated for this even though I doubt you will be. If you want to pursue this you can contact the shop she works at and speak with the owner and explain the situation. If that doesn’t work, maybe small claims court but I doubt that’s worth your time… I feel you. Guy who tattooed our wedding anniversary on our forearms did a terrible job on mine (wildly uneven character heights, different sized repeating characters). He said he needed it to heal for a month before it could touch up, so I made an appointment that same day to come back in a month. Came in for the appointment and he had fucking moved out of state.
Annoying, but could it be you can rebook and not have to put another deposit down as she kept your last one? Since she was the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this one to cancel. Either that or small claims court. I don’t think I’m going to get it from her anyway. I’m just going to get the deposit back and go somewhere else because I think I’m justified to be able to do that. It’s her fault for not being organised enough. Make sure to leave a review about that too on their page. Just so people are aware with this artist that they may pay half for a tattoo they aren’t gonna get lol there’s a super talented artist in my area whose work i love but he’s garbage at scheduling. i’ll message him and he will leave me on read for weeks until i message again. tried to get him to pierce my bfs septum since he does piercings as well and despite me trying to schedule over a month in advance i didn’t get a confirmed appointment until a couple days before and then day of he “lost” the jewelry and said he’d get back to me when he got some in. that was end of december. he will also make appointments and not tell you until you show up that he’s gonna have another artist that works in his shop do the piece. so now looking for a new tattoo artist and piercer
This reminds me of one time, I was training with a PT, I paid for 8 sessions up front (two a week for a month) and was into my third month with him. One day about 90 mins before the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this session he messaged to cancel and said “even though I usually charge for late cancellations, I have a free spot later in the week that you could have instead.” I promptly pointed out that charging for late cancellations is fine when it’s the client who cancels, not him. Needless to say I didn’t end up paying for a fourth month (although there were other reasons beyond this why I chose to wrap it up) My wife made an appointment for her tattoo in a quite famous tattoo shop in our town. They’ve been to several TV shows, and the work they put out is overwhelming.
Then the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this same thing happened… in the morning, she got a call to cancel the appointment because the artist is going to be on a tattoo convention… well, this convention was well known like half a year ago, and just on that day, they realized that one of the artist has to actually be there? Mild shock! She tried to get a refund on her deposit, but they insisted on giving her the tattoo. After rescheduling failed three times, she was about to take legal action to get her money back. Of course, they magically had 3 different appointments available, all perfectly good for my wife. That sucks but it also shows you it’s not your artist. I had same happening to me at the beginning of the pandemic, minus the deposit. Got a date and then radio silence for 1,5 month. One week before the appointment I reach out to the artist asking to see a sketch. She responds on the eve on the appoinment saying that they decided to close and the appointment is not going to happen. I was very pissed, but thought that mutual respect is the part of the process for me, so let it go. The tattoo artist who gave me the four I currently have lost his shop and had to work out of his home. I got my last one in his kitchen while he renovated his basement into a proper tattoo environment. A few months later, he paged out to lots of people that he was giving $1000 of tattoo time for $350 deposits. (Red flag, anyone?)
Well, yeah. I was dumb and sent him the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this $350, setting up a date for a few weeks ahead. Getting close to the date, all of my calls went to voicemail and none of my texts were replied to. Drove out to his house to knock on the door, and lo and behold, there’s a SOLD sign on his front lawn. Dude disappeared for a few years, taking mine and (I’m assuming) other people’s money with him. I recently saw his name on a list of tattooers at a local popular shop, but I don’t have it in my to pursue it further. I have been communicating with a tattoo artist from overseas for a year and he agreed to take on my project when he tours in the US. Finally the time comes and he’s staying for a 3-day tattoo convention on the other side of the country and he’s going to work on my arm all three days. It’s a full tattoo sleeve. Everything is paid for. Hotel, flight, entry to the convention, time off from work booked. 5 days before I’m supposed to fly out, his assistant emails me and says that he has decided that he is not going to take on my project because he wants to focus on smaller projects he can get done in a few hours. This means that they had already been communicating with other people with smaller projects for god knows how long and they waited until 5 days before to tell me that I’m SOL.
Also, if you were able to book an artist only 2 weeks out, that tells me they probably aren’t very good as tattoo artists worth their salt usually have a multi-month wait list. This has happened to me. When they cancel there’s no excuse to not get your deposit back. A couple of weeks ago I left a shop with $600 in my pocket because they took a walk in and tried to bump me. That’s just unprofessional and your “business” wont last long if you’re treating your customers with no respect. I had an artist that would make their own schedule and then change it last minute when the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this date came up to get the tattoo done. Whether they weren’t up early, out doing other things or decided they didn’t feel like it that day. I managed to get 5 tatts done but with my last two being a struggle to pin them down on an official day as sometimes this behavior would go on for up to a month of setting a date….then bailing.
That shit pisses me off. I had a piercer cancel on me last minute once. She had a $50 deposit too. Cancelled while I was on my way there and said her car wouldn’t start. Wouldn’t refund my deposit, told me the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this only option was to rebook. I had to file a chargeback on my card and she called me days later screaming at me that I was hurting her small business. Lmao, ma’am, you could’ve just refunded me when I asked and avoided a chargeback fee. Plan on not getting a tattoo from this shop. Wait until they are back from holiday. Go into the shop while they are with a customer and demand your deposit back for them breaking their appointment and taking your money. This will put them on their heels since they will want to save face with their current customer and any other patrons in the shop. They should give you the deposit back just to get you out of there.
It’s so annoying when stuff like this happens. I just recently had a bit of a similar experience. The tattoo artist was running a voucher offer which basically equated to discounted hours if you bought a voucher for certain increments of money, as they’d had a slow period and I guess wanted to churn up some custom. I bought a full day voucher (which is 6hrs). A few weeks later redeemed my voucher and booked a day to go and have a few smaller things done. A few days before my appointment, they contact me and ask me to come in later as they “accidentally” booked another small tattoo before me. My session should have started at 11am, they asked me to come at 1pm. Very annoying, but ok i guess. I arrived at 1pm and this other persons tattoo app has overrun. Ok, even more annoying. So they finish up, my appointment doesn’t end up starting until 2.30pm (just to add insult to injury I see the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this person walking out and they actually got the full vein side of their forearm tattooed, I don’t know what that part is called, it like the underside that’s usually paler? Not small in my book). Annoying, then to make it even worse, hasn’t even drawn up my designs so I’m left waiting while they are drawn up. First one, does the 1st tattoo, then has to draw up the second, tattoos that and then the next one. My final one, they spent an hour drawing it up, started it, then at 8pm was like we’re done here. So at this point, 2.5hrs of my appointment have been spent waiting for designs to be drawn up (when the usually it’s done before the app) but was told they didn’t have time to draw everything up due to them having to take up an extra job as they’ve been so slow over Christmas and the new year. Which is sad for them but I’m paying for this service (and it’s not really my problem you’ve had to take another job, as sorry as I am you’ve had to in this crappy economy). Right throughout, they complained of being tired and achy hands, sore eyes which absolutely did not fill me with confidence (tattoos have since healed as it’s been a few weeks and there are definitely some wonky/incomplete lines). Then even worse, the next day they message me asking for date to complete the half done tattoo and asking for more money which I’m not about to do. I should have just postponed but hey ho, lesson learned.
TLDR – paid for 6hrs and got 3.5 at best and a half finished tattoo which I’m now expected to pay more for to have it completed. Eh it’s a slow time for a lot of artists right now. Like mine got me in on a walk-in for one and then 2 weeks later for the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this next tattoo. He’s reputable and has won awards – many people are just not booking rn Yes and not to mention cancellations. I went in to give a deposit to my artist once and she was like “Hey, my person in 30 minutes cancelled, your tattoo should take the same amount of time so do you wanna just do it now?” and I was like hell yeah I have nothing else to do I’m getting my sleeve started (finally) and been waiting 2.5 years between travel since she’s based in a different state
She’s moving to mine now and since its a whole new book of business I got in like 3 weeks from now so hell yeah im stoked Get your money back. I’ve been burned twice by similar BS with tattoo artists. Never pay until they’re ready to actually start doing the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this work. “Hello. I do not consent to your retention of my deposit. I expect you will honor our arrangement or return my property immediately. Failure to do so will likely result in acceleration of this dispute. I sincerely hope you do not force things to that point but be advised that I am ready, willing, and able to pursue this to the fulelst extent available to me at law and in equity. Please be guided accordingly. ” Not to be a shit, but most people, tattoo artists included, get uncomfortable with formal written demands. People don’t email like this unless they intend to go to the mat. If this doesn’t get your 50 back, just blast her on socials for being a scammer and let it go. You’re lucky it’s only 50.
I don’t think this comes off as formal. Just kind of stilted. Especially the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this “fulelst extent available to me at law and in equity”, sounds like a scam email lol. If I got a message like that it’d worry me less because I’d think person is unlikely to actually file a case if this is the way they’d be addressing the court. I think it’s always best to just ask like a normal person before resorting to legal threats, and apparently that worked in this case as she did refund him. Under most European contract law, which you had even if it’s not written you are entitled to 50€ and the cost to you taking the day off. You lost a day of income or a day of vacation which has the same monetary value I have no idea what law your referring to where simply making an appointment forms a contract where one party has to pay the others’ daily wage if they cancel. The tattoo artist sucks, but definitely doesn’t owe the OP hundreds of euros. Welcome to Europe. Culpa in contrahendo was part of roman law, Napoleon’s code cevile and now is practically universal in the euro zone. If 2 parties agree to enter a contract (by paying 50€) and one partly breaks the main contract. The other party is entitled to expenses occurred during this “pre contractual time” in this case 50 euro, the day off ( it’s reasonable since not a lunch hour procedure,/ and would do this ) and possible travel costs. And yes you are right just, purely canceling a contract is free as long as both parties can exit the same way they entered. Buy paying the 50€ this is now a different situation, the artist ment to secure a better position by taking a deposit, however this gave the other party rights too. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. In German countries it goes under ‘ Verletzung Vorvertraglicher Pflichten’.
She knew dang well there would be a schedule conflict and just hoped you’d let her keep that deposit so she had extra spending money for her holiday. This happened to my friend years ago but it was close to $600. She prepaid ahead of time, in person, at the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this shop for the next piece she was getting. It’s been like 6 or 7 years and she does not have the tattoo she prepaid for but she did learn a very valuable lesson Had something similar happen. Literally had this artist booked a year in advance, did the deposit. Night before the tattoo she refuses to send over the shop location (it was private and she had moved since the last time I had a tat from her) and doesn’t even offer to reschedule. We had the design (simple) narrowed to two options, and I was also scheduled for a touch up. I reach out several times to reschedule, and get crickets. Still no deposit, still no tattoo. Regardless she should have still had me in for the touch up. I feel like that’s common among tattoo artists. But not all (thankfully). Mine once didn’t show up. Forgot and went to lunch. Once forgotten I’ve paid a deposit and requested another one. Terrible. He did 3 on me but the forth one was done by a different guy. Fuck if. Even if you are talented you don’t get to be a dick.
Yea there is definitely a lot of attitude and elitism among the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this tattoo community. There’s also been an interesting trend now with the super hip young girl/fine line work that will fade in 2 years type of thing. I mean they’re the coolest, the do art for a living blah blah blah I had one cancel on me an hour and a half before my appointment after I had already left work at lunch to get ready. They made me reschedule for another month out but it landed on a day I was supposed to be out of state so I called back to ask about rescheduling a different day and the artist denied it and said he’s keeping my deposit. Never went back to that place I had a housekeeper who would come once a week, she showed up while I was at work one day to clean. Before I was home from work I had received a text from her that she had cleaned and spent a bit longer at my house that day. I sent the e transfer to her and proceed with my 20min commute back home….she was there so the house smelled clean. My house had mostly been ignored and she was on her way to catch a plane for vacation. She won’t realize it now but eventually her actions will ruin her business. If she can only think of herself then she might want to apply at McDonald’s
There’s definitely a mate behind all this. Man or woman, there’s always that ONE that manipulates & breaks their bank then vamooshes! Seems like an honest mistake and nothing more. The people absolutely hating on that artist should reconsider their priorities. Sure it sucks you had to take a day off but you can surely spend the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this day productively anyways and make the best out of it. My last tatoo my artist stops halfway through and goes “yeah I have to go walk my dog, we’ll need to finish this another day” She knew exactly what she was doing. Likely trying to take deposits so she has some cash on her vacay, but you’re a good customer, innocent mistake, let me keep the deposit and we’ll just do it after…kaaaaay?
Shit happens and people make mistakes. But what the Snoopy people say growing old is a gift I’d like to return mine for credit shirt What’s more,I will buy this fuck? Professionally the first thing to do is apologise profusely and ask if you would like to rebook for some time in the future or have your deposit back. I see no other coarse of action other than not fucking up in the first place Sorry that happened to you. I’ve had an artist leave the shop after taking a deposit for a tattoo that was scheduled 1 week out… Never heard from him again Also, Happy Cake Day My husband had a tattoo artist reschedule on him 3 times before she was finally able to see him. $150 deposit that she kept bc she was rescheduling, not cancelling…
