This is a demonstration of how firefighters would open a door to prevent fire from shooting out at them. Holding the Snoopy Fourth Of July America Happy Freedom Shirt Additionally,I will love this door closed ‘longer’ isn’t a trick to prevent flashover. How did you and so many other people miss the entire point of this demonstration. No way you watched the whole thing with audio on and still didn’t understand the demonstration. You think this firefighter, making a demonstration with a specific rig to show this effect doesn’t know what he is talking about? Idiot. Get back on your high horse. No one missed the point. They’re just pointing out that the demonstration doesn’t prove the point the firefighter is trying to make. It does prove it, everyday just don’t understand fire behavior like firefighters do so they assume it’s bullshit. He’s not trying to prove he’s trying to demonstrate. Which works just fine for everyone except contrarian redditors who have never seen a fire in their lives and think it goes from autoignition to cold in 30 seconds. It’s a demonstration on flashover, not about putting out a fire. So the amount of time the door is closed is irrelevant. Holding the cover on for 14 times longer would probably do the trick regardless of how much water he was spraying.
