I have anxiety and doctors always shew me away with any medical problem I have with “Oh, it’s probably just your anxiety.” It makes me more anxious now knowing I have nowhere to go where I will be taken seriously! When I was 12, I got a severe sunburn all over my back and shoulders. It was so bad that I had yellow and pus filled blisters popping all over the Snoopy Fall Crewneck The Snoopy Tour shirt Also,I will get this burn and I was in so much pain that I couldn’t sleep for a week straight. The burn was not getting better on its own, even with aloe vera, and was starting to get infected and look worse. I went to a children’s hospital. They brought me into a room with a nurse, and an older male doctor walked in, but he didn’t even come near me or inspect the burns. I had to be put on morphine and get my back scrubbed. Went to the GI and was asking questions: help me understand this mechanism or why this medication works or doesn’t sort of questions. He told me (Hispanic female) that I needed to pay him more for this GI symposium he was giving me. Keep in mind, my questions were reasonable, but I have been gaslight by him before and I just want to understand processes involved with my own body. When I was 16, I broke my leg in a pretty bad accident to the point when the bone was literally sticking out of my skin and my doctor looked at it and said “it appears to be broken”. I lost my shit and said “no fuckin shit”
