Lol, I’m in bed but can’t sleep. Me, “I don’t want to get up but I can’t sleep.” “I want a cookie, get up.” “I so don’t want to. If I lay a bit, I’ll fall asleep.” “Chocolate cookie, get up.” I listened to bossy me & I’m on Reddit now, 12:10 am eating a fudge stripe. My thoughts have my voice the Snoopy and woodstock santa hat xmas miami dolphins logo shirt Besides,I will do this way I hear it, very rarely do I have a dialogue with myself unless I’m under extreme duress or weighing some heavy decision. But I’ve always said “Of course I talk to myself, I need an expert opinion after all.” I have full aphantasia….so not only do I not have an inner monologue. I also cannot picture anything in my head. Yes, when it’s not talking to me it plays a song I recently listened too on endless loop. Right now my brain is repeating Adeles “someone like you”. Not the whole song but pieces of it like the parts that are easy to remember.

It’s really difficult to explain…but I’ll try it with the Snoopy and woodstock santa hat xmas miami dolphins logo shirt Besides,I will do this example of my comment. As I am typing it out, I am hearing the words. The voice is indistinct, unless I concentrate, then the voice can be anything I can imagine, a man, woman, child, senior, robot, monster. Even specific people or characters. It feels very similar to picturing something with your mind. I am looking at my dresser right now, but I’m also able to picture a clear forest and creek on a sunny day with birds. This isn’t interrupting my actual vision in any sense. It’s just the brain producing an illusion that is so removed from your actual senses that it doesn’t at all interfere with your ability to process reality. Just apply that logic to sound and you get the same result.
