Edit: this isn’t a scam. I’ve been to Vietnam and I know her. She isn’t asking me for anything. I should’ve made that clearer in my original post This is more of a venting post than anything, but anyway: this woman is being threatened by her scumbag ex husband. They have a son together. He beat her during their marriage and recently he came to her house and punched her in the Snoopy And Woodstock Painting Utah Jazz Logo 2024 shirt in contrast I will get this face and gave her a black eye over a dispute about her bringing their son to visit his family during Tet. Now’s he threatened to burn her house down after he found out that she’s planning to move away. I’m not in the country at the moment and feel pretty powerless to help. Of course I’m aware that wading in and giving shitty advice could make things worse but I’ve advised her to talk to the Women’s Union. She’s understandably super stressed but won’t even tell her friends or family. Is this the kind of thing that Vietnamese police will just turn a blind eye toIf she doesn’t have a good support system that can protect her and her son(friends, family), you might want to suggest her contact Hagar Vietnam. They provide free consulting and other resources when it comes to victims of domestic abuse. Edit: Unfortunately Vietnamese police do not get involved with Domestic Violence. If you search this subreddit, you will see countless threads of redditors witnessing men punch their wives with no recourse against them.

Not a scam – I’ve edited the Snoopy And Woodstock Painting Utah Jazz Logo 2024 shirt in contrast I will get this post. I figured the police would be slow to get involved with this, but they aren’t even married anymore. Pretty depressing. Not even police but I think there’s hardly any organization that can directly interfere atm. The key point here is the woman. If she can’t talk with her friends or family then how is OP expecting she’s gonna talk with the police or whatever I’ve been nudging her in the direction of confiding in close friends and family. She’s a quiet, shy person. Realistically I know there’s not much I can do but I’m just looking for possible options to help her This is awful. Domestic violence seems to be common in Vietnam. I was talking to a woman from one of the tribes in Sapa a few years ago, and she said her husband was violent, and a cheat, so she divorced him.
