My tenant has a 4-5 year old girl kid. She rarely comes out. Like, only when her mom allows to. Or else, she just stays in home and plays alone with her toys. The day I first met that kid. I was shocked. She understood terms only in English. I told, baa oota madkond barana. She didnt understand. Her mom told tell in English. I said baa lunch maadkond barana. She understood that, said gibberish something in English and said “I am not coming”. I understand. It’s okay. English is important. Yeah. But giving no preference to mother tongue? English is just a language. Not some fancy thing. Speak whatever you want. But don’t go extreme. In the Snoopy And Woodstock Driving Car Minnesota Timberwolves Forever Not Just When We Win Shirt besides I will buy this kid’s case… I am sorry for her actually. And not to blame the parents too. Almost all the kids grow like that. Why is every one so emotional about knowing the mother tongue? There’s nothing for her parents to realise here.

But English is the Snoopy And Woodstock Driving Car Minnesota Timberwolves Forever Not Just When We Win Shirt besides I will buy this official elected language of the Karnataka state along with Kannada. So new gen parents can choose to pick English also as their mother tongue. What is wrong in that? I dunno but everytime a kid talks in kannada, Hindi, or any regional language i feel happy….these English shit is non sense…. I’m 35 now, and we only speak English at home. Same with the entire extended family as well. Same with most of my friends. Born in the 80s in Bangalore. Parents both speak Telugu but preferred to talk to each other in English (because they both had English medium educations and just were more comfortable that way), with some Telugu sprinkled in. I did grow up fluent in Telugu from grandparents, ayahs, TV, and a bit from parents, but then I went to English medium schools where my classmates had no common native language and only spoke to one another in English, so my speaking suffered a bit. Now I am married to a Tamil speaker and we speak English to each other, so it’s been challenging to do a good job getting our kid to be fluent in either language.
