I remember sitting at a table being interviewed and a few of the Snitches Get Stitches Elf Snitched To Santa Claus Xmas Shirt Apart from…,I will love this women were so blatantly rude in their demeanor, I regret not saying anything! Being interviewed is stressful enough, the last thing someone needs to to be stared at like a cockroach! And her handshake, it was so limp I cracked something in her hand, lol! No need to treat people like garbage, even if you have already decided against them! What industry in tech? We just had a guy decline an offer because the supervisor for the position rubbed him the wrong way during their interview lol. In my opinion, no amount of money is worth the stress and unhappiness every single day, of dealing with a boss you immediately know is a prick. I hope karma comes along and you find an even better job, with good people to work for. They are interviewing you, but you are also interviewing them. If you don’t like the fit, don’t take the job. Other opportunities are out there. Find one that makes you happy!

It seemed rude and weird at the time but I got along with the rest of the leadership team so I moved forward. We had a difficult but not unmanageable relationship, and ultimately his old fashioned ideas about technology got him an early retirement and me a promotion. Personally, I absolutely would’ve taken it and immediately began shopping for a new job using the current comp/benefits as a bargaining chip with other prospective employers, and jump ship as soon as I found a role I liked with a decent supervisor and comparable (if not better) benefits. I know what you say but it’s not that easy. Moreover, leaving a job after a short time, wouldn’t be a red flag for a future employer?
