I was mortified, but I have to admit that it was hilarious. In his speech and thanked us for being good sports about it. Yeah, don’t, and I repeat, do NOT get hammered at the bosses house. If needs be, find a reason to be sober, eg be designated driver. Get some barfi from an Indian store. They’ll probably already have some at the party anyway but you can’t go wrong with too much barfi. “Oh, and boss, I took out a new fire insurance policy on the office the other day. May be a bit optimistic in the valuation, but the peace of mind is worth the premium, eh?”
