Reminds me a little of when conspiracy theories get really bad: proof that I’m right means that I’m right, proof that I’m wrong is actually proof that They’re trying to shut me down for being right. My brother is a jehova witness now. The last person I ever though would be into such a thing. He use to fuck with gangs and shit. He settled down and I guess he wanted to find God and ended up there. He is very isolated from everyone. No birthdays, no Halloween or Christmas or anything. Our other brother stayed at his place for one night and told me that the Slaughter to prevail berserk shirt Furthermore, I will do this religion was all he would talk about. His kids are very weird in a way according to him. she will be broke. all or nothing commitment means spending all your money on their stupid classes. its a big ponzi scheme. here is a youtube channel by a guy who grew up in it. he calls it a family destroying cult. Any chance you can explain a bit about the religion? I’m confused because you say anyone not in their cult is isolated… but yet he met OP who is not in his cult? I’m just a bit confused by that part tbh, but I also know nothing about this religion or cult or whatever so any information would be appreciated!

It’s not “we live on a compound in the Slaughter to prevail berserk shirt Furthermore, I will do this middle of nowhere” isolated. Scientologists live and operate with everyone else, however, they socially limit interactions with outsiders except to really recruit and improve their own image. A few do live in a compound. Nobody really knows what happens to them….like Shelley Miscavige, if she’s still alive There are different levels of commitment. Those who sign a billion year contract with the “church” live and work on various compounds and have incredibly limited interactions with non-Scientologists. It’s also far harder for them to leave. There are also public Scientologists, I’m assuming like OP’s boyfriend, who live and and work out in the world but have their finances completely drained to continue working through Scientology programming. The book “Beyond Belief” by Jenna Miscavige Hill (niece of the current Scientology leader) is an amazing work that details her experiences growing up in the church and her escape.
