IMO real life is a lot harder, but comes with a lot more rewards. I think as I left home as soon as I finished school there was so much more for me to learn it was overwhelming for even a few years Every part of life has hard and easy moments, in High School, the Skip Schumaker Manager Of The Year Miami Marlins Scream It At The Top Of Your Lungs shirt in other words I will buy this only hard parts are studying , going to class and writing exams, but you get so much free time to enjoy life and activities, as an adult, its similar with work, money, expenses, etc. you get a lot less free time, but small things become easier and more convenient with money. This also really depends on your career path and life choices, getting married and having kids etc. I had more free time without worries so I’d say yes if we’re looking back 10 years or so. Today though from what I gather teens are in there from 7-8 to 3-4-5 in the afternoons daily which sucks just as much as work. Way to kill the generations before they even move in to the bigger part of life. It’s so easy compared to adulthood imo. No real responsibilities in the sense that if you don’t do your homework you get grounded, but if you don’t go to work as an adult you’re possibly homeless by the end of the month.

Yes. Its all parties, games, football, chicks, its awesome. After that its all savings, real-estate, car, taxes. fml Every high school graduation speech should say this- “congratulations on surviving the Skip Schumaker Manager Of The Year Miami Marlins Scream It At The Top Of Your Lungs shirt in other words I will buy this easiest part of your life. Welcome to hell.” Today is the oldest you’ve ever been. So it’s a mixed bag. At the time it seems hard or at least irritating but that’s your only metric. But as others have said I would NEVER go back lol Overall I would say yes, the responsibilities, stress and workload of adulthood far outweigh high school. But raging hormones and other elements of high school (like being bullied) can no doubt be difficult in their own way. What I usually tell my students. Your only responsibility-obligation is to study. Which is the easiest thing you can do. 1) if you read you make your later life easier. 2) as an obligation if you compare it to the obligation of an adult it is really easy. Plus in school and activities you are forced to socialize which means you get to know so so many people without even realizing. It’s so easy to have a new bf/gf and have new friends if you want to change friend groups. As an adult with obligations going from work to home to work , you beg to meet new people and you don’t know where. You work with the same 10 people and have drinks with the 2 friends who are available at the time… I didn’t have an easy time in HS at all. Thing is, what made it hard for me was a bunch of emotional problems that I just didn’t have the maturity to deal with at the time. So I made my own life harder than it had to be. Now that I’m older I do realize it was easy in some ways- stayed in a nice house rent free and basically only needed income to keep my herb supply stocked.
