You are in control of very little in your life. Accept that. Work with what is and accept that death is inevitable and will eventually come for you, and that’s okay. It’s all a part of life, and quite possibly, the Skid Row American Black shirt But I will love this next step to something more amazing and fantastic than we can ever imagine. I read Todd May’s Death: The Art Of Living and it helps quite a bit. Even makes immortality sound distasteful. I will keep on recommending this to anyone worried about the experience of Thanatos. Oh yeah, work with wildlife or animals and you’ll eventually begin to see death as the essential life-fuel. It’s the final completion of being human, and eventually it’ll be a goal. Not in a suicidal way, but a way that makes you want to be complete, do good, and then pass on and fulfill your role. To begin depriving death of its greatest advantage over us, let us adopt a way clean contrary to that common one; let us deprive death of its strangeness, let us frequent it, let us get used to it; let us have nothing more often in mind than death… We do not know where death awaits us: so let us wait for it everywhere.”

I found that eventually I worry about it so much that it just boils over and I stop caring because there’s literally nothing I can do about it so why even put any thought into it? I had this Skid Row American Black shirt But I will love this crisis start at 19/20 when I started to question religion. I spent a whole summer in a bad place while refusing to reach out about it. Started to talk more and eventually went to a few therapy sessions about 9 months later. For me just talking about it helped a ton. I think about it every few months now at 26. I guess I’ve accepted it. Depends, as a general knowledge that one day you will die thing? Yes. If somebody stuffs a gun in your face, probably not. Not fully— but you can overwrite it with people you value as an aspirational ideal, and then live up to that ideal on a regular basis to reaffirm its importance.
