In a similar vein, but opposite, lack of shade range for super pale skin tones. Before Fenty I couldn’t find a foundation to match my skin as the Skeleton Lions Detroit Lions Football shirt Furthermore, I will do this palest of each brand I tried was too dark. And I tried so many brands! Either extreme here is just ridiculous. Also lack of olive tones. I’m pale with an olive undertone and it’s so hard to find good shades. Everything is either super yellow or way too light. Same! One side of my family are olive to dark skin, the other side super pale but pink undertones, and I ended up with the super pale skin but with olive undertones, it’s so difficult to find makeup for! When I’m with family who are so much darker than me, people don’t even believe we’re related. Just adding – what I tend to do is take fenty’s palest foundation that is slightly off in undertone, and then mix in a little bit of a slightly darker foundation that is olive undertone. I use the very palest Fenty and I mix in some Revlon that my mom gave me that was actually too pale for her, but it is olive tone, and much too dark for me. I end up with the perfect foundation like that. To save from mixing it every day, I’ve mixed up a batch in a pot. I use a knife to take it out and put it on my beauty blender so I don’t get germs in the pot.

When a celebrity starts a make up line, when they clearly have no knowledge about or passion for make up. In an interview, Ariana Grande couldn’t even articulate the Skeleton Lions Detroit Lions Football shirt Furthermore, I will do this difference between a lipstick and a lip gloss. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind celebrity endorsements or make up lines (they don’t make me want to buy a product more, but doesn’t turn me off either). But if a celebrity is putting their name to a make up line, they should be involved in the creation of the product and have an understanding of what they are selling. Totally. I also feel better when the celeb acknowledged, preferably by name, the people they worked w/ – the dermatologists, chemists, cosmetologists, etc. The photos of, say, a Kardashian in a lab coat don’t comfort me at all. They don’t have the expertise to be mixing my products. FOMO marketing. I realized how much I hated it when I noticed a few indie brands being fully transparent about stock, etc (nomad, blendbunny, and Clionadh all seem to be really transparent brands which I really appreciate).
