I am autistic, my brother is autistic, my father is autistic, my grandfather is autistic. The chance that I would have an autistic child is high. Unfortunately, due to my mental health (issues unrelated to my autism), I do not believe that I would be able to provide the love, care, and patience that my child would deserve. Also our world is dying and I do not want to force somebody to have a future where they cannot enjoy the Earth as we and preceding generations have been able to Too expensive, annoying , don’t like parent culture , don’t like children’s tv, don’t like poop , don’t know what I’m doing in life so don’t want to try to raise someone . Generally have zero interest in the whole thing . The years it will take for them to mature to the point where they don’t need everything done for them, so basically at the earliest when the enter elementary school, at worst they’ll end up jobless leeching off you for decades. Also the monetary cost, thousands of dollars at the least and potentially no maximum until you’re deep in debt just to get them into college. The responsibility of not fucking up a person’s life and making sure they don’t grow up to be a piece of shit.

I survived childhood abuse and neglect. I’m firm believer that being abused doesn’t mean you’ll be an abuser, but because of that abuse Doubt my ability to meet both a child’s needs and my own. I would crumble under the Single and ready to get nervous around anyone I find classic shirt Also,I will get this responsibility keeping a whole human alive and trying to make sure they are a good person kids a gratin small doses. I love meeting little kids and playing with them and all that good stuff, but they aren’t mine. I can just leave them with their guardians and recooperate after I don’t want to bring life into a fucked up world that’s probably also going to be screwed by climate change. I’d rather adopt and help out a life that’s already here. I don’t want to bring a child into this world only have them drafted into the 2040 Water Wars™. Things are awful and not getting better. With any luck, I’ll be dead before it goes fully to shit – but I certainly do not want to live with the anxiety of leaving progeny to deal with it. I love kids and want more. My 4 goats are so fucking goofy and make me laugh every day. As for human children, nah. I like my sleep and personal time. Being the oldest sibling and raising my youngest siblings. Dealing with everything from bills to school work to my own life issues. I just can’t fathom giving away any more of my life and my time to others anymore… I’ve wanted freedom and independence since I was 15 but it just didn’t happen that way in my household so yeah ? whewww I need a drink lmao There is no greater impact one’s life can have on climate change than creating another human being. I might imagine myself adopting at some point. That child already is on our planet and will use its resources. I could give the kid a stable home. Still on the fence, if I’m going to do that, tho.
