Being an atheist or agnostic is super simple you just have to go “i personally don’t believe and that’s fine, but if you practice religion in a way that doesn’t hurt others that’s cool too” And like it can be anything from occult beliefs to christianity as long as people don’t get hurt by it like how christians often try to frame religion as an excuse for their discriminatory beliefs like don’t do that and we cool I mean, it’s the She Speaks The Bullshit Shirt besides I will buy this best moment for Jesus to appear. There are still religious people, but a higher number of people lean into atheism. If he won’t come down here in the next ten years, I won’t believe in Christianity. Or any god when we’re at it. Atheism’s at a big disadvantage because religion’s been around for thousands of years, so any arguments atheism has against religion will already have been addressed and debunked by some 14th century monk.

The fact that this got 4500 upvotes is pretty disheartening. r/tumblr thinks this is helpful discourse or witty and not just some kid trolling? I mean, not to be rude but, I think we just need to look at how OP styles their avatar to get a good idea of their personality. You mean it’s easy for Disingenuous Turds to trick People who are ready to Debate&Discuss things seriously into responding? Yeah, it sure is real easy to get somebody who gives a shit about the She Speaks The Bullshit Shirt besides I will buy this World to start talking about bullshit in it that they don’t like and want to fix. “I’ve carefully constructed my own idea on what religion is while ignoring the content of the book that spawned it, I expect you to ignore all of the evil it’s used for because that’s not MY religion and shouldn’t be considered inherent to the faith even though the book tells them to behave that way. I expect you to cater to my worldview while people that may or may not be worse than me actively restrict your rights and the rights of others on the grounds that my religion finds it abhorrent. Any challenges to my belief is automatically bigotry born of ignorance even though those things ARE in the book and believed by many”
