It’s true. I am happy for people who love that stuff, but I have never been into it. It’s just not my thing. That’s not to say I never see “fun” movies. I saw Barbie. I did not find it life-altering. It was okay. It’s amusing from my perspective…I come from a time where books were read then theory discussion was had on the SHAD American professional wrestler and actor T-Shirt In addition,I will do this early message boards and blogs. We watched the LoTR thing explode…fantasy owes Peter Jackson a massive solid for his work…and knew the private world we indulged in was about to be busted. Now it’s massively mainstream. I find some of the TV work really good. The LoTR work was exceptional but Jackson is brilliant. I haven’t watched the ASoIaF stuff beyond the second season I think it was but I want Martin to finish the book series, that’s what I’m in it for, not the television. If you read books yourself you’ll understand why…it is difficult for TV shows to recreate what your imagination through reading builds and it can end up underwhelming. Definitely. I’m a voracious reader. I don’t read sci-fi or fantasy, either, but I love horror and there’s some overlap there. I rarely love the movie version of anything as much as I love the book. There are a few exceptions like The Shining and Misery.

My problem with sci-fi and fantasy is usually the SHAD American professional wrestler and actor T-Shirt In addition,I will do this language and the creation of an uncanny valley universe. I just don’t ever feel immersed. Yep, it’s not for everyone, that’s the beauty of reading. It’s fascinating how different genres do exactly the same thing to the reader. I struggle with real life genres such as crime, thriller and spy, books for me are a doorway out of this planets functions, that’s why I’m heavily into fantasy and sci fi. Quite often it’s those uncanny universes Im into the story for. Unfortunately there’s a lot of terrible writing out there. Poorly built worlds, magic systems that are lazily slapped together. I got an old friend that never watchdd it. He’s far gone. Maga and the like. Thinks that game of thrones is all wizard bullchit that is encouraging a fantasy mind set in young people that is turning them gay. Lol. But he is also a huge WWE fan. I stopped talking to him after he told me aliens are actually demonic entities trying to come into earth. So yea. Im now bias toward those who have not seen GoT
