Lunch is usually something quick I can grab like a granola bar or a reheated slice of pizza or a cup of Mac n cheese or leftover or a bagel. Or no lunch. Dinner might be a frozen pizza. Takeout (seldom anymore.) A box of Mac n cheese. Leftovers. A premade meal you just heat up like lasagna or something. Nachos. A sandwich. A frozen skillet meal. A tv dinner. Something from a box like striders stuffing w a bag of frozen steamed veggies and some Turkey deli meal. Or ramen/cup of soup. I do cook from scratch sometimes. But I also use pre-made stuff, eg. pasta sauce, pre-cooked foods like the Sebastian Trinidad x LVLA Shirt in contrast I will get this occasional frozen pizza, and sometimes just have a bowl of cereal. Prepared, vac sealed, refrigerated meals are getting better and better. We get a lot from Costco, like bagged meatballs and pasta, baked scalloped potatoes, lasagna, etc.

I cook from scratch almost every night of the Sebastian Trinidad x LVLA Shirt in contrast I will get this week. Things like pasta or bread or rice, I buy prepackaged. But sauces, I’ll make myself. I’ll buy fresh produce and fruit and use them multiple times throughout the week in my dinners. The way I shop, is that I buy ingredients I can use more than once. A big bag of rice, a bunch of cilantro, multiple lemons, etc. if I only use it once, or only use it for one meal, that’s kind of what I consider a speciality item. If not that, usually a lot of frozen stuff is used. Or things that can be made but not necessarily from scratch. Did your grandmother and mother work an average of 40-60 hours a week plus 5-10 hours a week commuting? I’d certainly have more enthusiasm and energy to cook from scratch if I didn’t have to work or could work much less. I generally make quick fix meals which include jarred pasta sauces or boxed sides. The older I get the less I can tolerate those types of boxed/bagged sides except for Trader Joe’s microwave rice or Annie’s Mac n cheese.
