Sorry but if you wanna go on a trip with your friends acting like your single, then your ass is gonna be single. Like how am I ever gonna find out if someone’s cheating on me if I keep absolutely zero tabs on their activity. Though I suppose respecting my SO space trumps me wanting to keep tabs even tho I might end up feeling insecure Have as many chick friends as you want! I just draw the line at weird convos at weird times. Like, if you’re texting your chick friend secretly at 3am, that’s a problem. Or, if you feel at any time that you have to delete or hide a convo from me, that’s a problem. Basically, you getter treat your chick friends the same as your guys friends. Because they’re just friends like anyone else. Once you start giving them extra attention that’s when I’m suspicious.

I don’t know about you but I’ve had romantic and sexual experiences in the Sebastian Aho Carolina Hurricanes NHL shirt and by the same token and most normal places. If I couldn’t trust my partner to be faithful with a friend of a gender they’re attracted to at the club, then I probably wouldn’t trust them anywhere. My boundaries depend on the type of relationship I have with them. In a strictly vanilla monogamous romantic/sexual relationship, it’s often honesty, and romantic/sexual exclusivity. I feel like setting boundaries on someone else’s behavior outside of how they treat you automatically implies that you don’t trust them to act appropriately. My boyfriend is a tattooer, so he is traveling out of town a lot and meets tons of people. Some of his friends happen to be women (some tattooers/staff of shops, some clients) but he tends to have very strict boundaries with them that he has cultivated on his own over time (he has a past of being cheated on by ex partners, so this definitely plays a role). If he went hiking or got food with his woman-homie I would not care. We have worked so hard to build a solid foundation within ourselves, and together as partners to make sure that our insecurities don’t win. We both have moments where we get “weird” but we just talk about it and offer “comfort or solution” responses depending on what we need during those times. Being a human sharing space from a completely different human is weird haha
