I refused lowball offers, maybe that’s why they deactivated me? I’m very thankful that all the door dash drivers I’ve experienced in my town have all been pleasant. Even 1 day when I ordered from a restaurant out of town. Even had a uber eats driver once thank me for tipping them. That threw me off guard, lol. Instead of threatening my life for a higher tip. Honestly reddit is Terrifying and I pray I never get any of these nasty drivers and continue to be blessed by good drivers. Like all things, when they go from a core group of early users to a much broader group… quality/satisfaction/consistency all fall off a cliff. I used to do DoorDash and Caviar. It was relatively easy. Even I saw terrible drivers harassing restaurants. And workers at restaurants absolutely hating drivers. I also had heard of drivers creeping on customers, but the stories weren’t common. What’s new is asking for tips after the fact. That’s bizarre to me. Many drivers would only accept certain trips to optimize dollars per hour. But never did I hear of a driver expecting more after the fact.

I’m quitting. The amount of drivers I’ve seen with my own eyes smoking marijuana in the car WITH the food, or parking in handicapped spots or any number of other inexcusable things is insane. When i started a couple years ago i thought “doordash” and immediately just thought of getting my food. When i think “doordash” i have so many negative associations there’s no way i could ever order food and expect to get it
