Most women just want attention. Play it cool and don’t be so eager to respond to every text or snap. Essentially, don’t seem so available. They can’t stand it! That dating will statistically not be worthwhile. Women have an unparalleled number of options which means that average and bad looking guys are now competing with good looking guys, for average and bad looking girls. Women find 10% of men “above average”. Which means that there is a 90% chance that you are viewed as below average and therefore unattractive towards women. You can increase your value by dressing well, grooming, fashion…which helps significantly, but if you’re short (below 5’8”), bald, whatever, expect your attractiveness to drop significantly. So you might find a wife but odds are she won’t be attracted to you, especially if she’s used dating apps and has had sex with more attractive men.

I could go on… All this to say that a lot of us start our young lives “in the hole” when it to comes to being OK with who we turn out to be. And I know men face similar obstacles to loving themselves. I guess – just do your best to see the person first, rather than their sex/gender. And believe that everyone’s just doing their best, with what they have, on any given day. Don’t give into the hoopla about stereotypes, or expectations about who/what you should like, versus listening to your own heart and mind about who/what you actually like. Be yourself, but also, give everyone else the courtesy of being allowed to do the same. Friend of mine told a story about how a girl he was dating at the time were fighting about something (I forget). She started crying, talking about how she’s dealing with a lot with the death of some loved ones, her hormones, etc….my friend just plainly said “I don’t accept this as an excuse” and she immediately stopped hysterically crying and they continued hanging out as normal. Very eye opening how manipulative they can be.
