I just got back from Korea a few days ago and I hadn’t been since 2011. A few things I noticed were the Save a pit bull euthanize a dog fighter shirt but in fact I love this people were a bit ruder, especially taxi drivers. It did seem somehow cleaner? Not that it wasn’t clean previously, just notably cleaner. As others have mentioned, increase of protests even minor ones. The last thing is a ton more foreigners. That said, it really depends on where in Korea you go. Still had an awesome time and will always be my second home. In the past, I feel like taxi drivers were nice so they can drive around in circles while talking to me to hike up the rates. Now that we have an app and it sets/states the price they can no longer drive around in circles and just have to do their jobs. Basically they no longer put on the facade of being nice since they can no longer hike up rates, especially with foreigners. Yeah that’s fair, I used kakao taxi mostly and when it was a shorter distance they were clearly annoyed or just straight up complained. It was just unexpected! I would apologize and hope they wouldn’t say anything else.

Not saying this is untrue but they are no longer nice towards koreans as well. Mostly becuz most of the Save a pit bull euthanize a dog fighter shirt but in fact I love this taxi drivers left the industry during covid and the people who stayed or returned were people who didnt have anywhere else to work for. their words not mine. I was reading about how COVID may have caused brain damage and it may increase aggression in a person with it. If this is true then all over the globe there be increase in aggressive behavior , and I feel like it’s true sometimes watching the news lol I’d heard that emissions from engines running on leaded gasoline had dragged down IQs (which in more recent decades have since been rebounding up), and that would have been a much more pronounced change in the population. I believe that was proven true though. It’s not that it made people dramatically less smart. But it did shave off some IQ points for individuals inhaling those fumes that grew up in that time period. Whether that’s permanent or not probably depends on the age they were when it happened. Heavy metal toxicity can absolutely impact brain development though.
