My grandma yelled at me the Saturdays Are Better Down South Shirt so you should to go to store and get this other day after I told her I got a dollar raise to $16. She claims that when she started working in 1960 she was only making $2.50 and was getting nickel and dime raises. Little does she know that $2.50 in 1960 is $25 dollars today. They are hurting people with their completely irresponsible fiscal choices. Minimum wage is not the core issue, the core issue is whatever is causing our need to raise minimum wage; their corrupt bullshit. They don’t represent US anymore. Whatever their corporate masters want is what gets passed. “We the People” is something they don’t give 2 fucks about citizens. They know EXACTLY how much rent is. They may be out of touch with the cost of groceries but no way they can ignore home costs..

The real problem with raising the minimum wage is that every business out there has to raise the price of their product to pay for it. In the end those at minimum wage are actually making the same as they were before. And those people in skilled labor positions who’s wage did not increase because they were above the minimum are making less. A minimum w increase just accelerates inflation… “But I remember in 1973 minimum wage was 2.05 an hour. People these days have it so easy.” But then if you do a calculations 2.05 an hour is equivalent to 13 dollars and hour in 2022 dollars. Guess what federal minimum wage is … There was just a protest for rising rent prices in Florida. We should all pack all the rich neighborhoods with cars and protests to annoy these jerks. The housing crisis in this country is out of control.
